Chapter Four

____________

Wes

Wow! It's been a minute since I had a door slammed in my face. Guess if nothing else Ivy will keep me humble. I debate what my next move should be. I could play it safe and go home. I never got there last night. I spent the entire night camped outside her apartment. I could ask my agent to contact hers and set something up. I could get her number and call her myself and try to ease into something with her.

Or I could just check the handle. If it's unlocked like I think it is because I didn't hear her lock it afterwards then I won't have to wait for all the time the other options will take. I've never really been good at waiting. I check the knob and sure enough, it turns in my palm. Two girls are getting off the elevator just as I open the door.

"Oh my God! Are you Wes Marshal?" Shit! Deny everything or nod and grin, which is going to get me to Ivy faster?

"Yeah." Truth it is.

"Wait are you going into...oh my God!? Ivy is your girlfriend. Ivy is the girl they are talking about on television who has captured the attention of the elusive Wes Marshal!" Like I'm a fucking butterfly or some other thing to be captured and brought in. Good Lord, people are weird. I give them another tight smile and step inside shutting the door behind me.

I lock it. The last thing I want is one of the women trying to follow me in to find out if Ivy is doing some sort of sexual acrobatics or witchcraft to keep my attention. I really had no idea I was being so standoffish. Okay, that is a lie. I didn't realize anyone else would give a shit that I was being that way but apparently, the world is invested in my sexual life.

"Ivy," I call for her but she doesn't answer. I move further into the room and stop when movement catches my eye. When I turn my full attention to the bathroom down the hall I can see Ivy letting her robe fall to the floor. Her fucking body! What the fuck have I been doing all my life if not trying to get this beautiful doll to turn around and give me all her attention.

She turns and sees me. I have a split second to react before things go all to hell. I'm down the hall and wrapping my arms around her before she can take a breath to scream her head off. I try not to think about the fact that she's naked in my arms or that all of her warm, golden skin is in full view for me to remember and spank it to later. Instead, I focus on looking into her eyes and letting her realize how serious I am.

"Right now, there are people outside your door just waiting for something to give the media, so if you scream those stories of how fucking kinky we are in bed are only going to hit the papers sooner rather than later."

I slowly take my hand off her mouth. "Turn around!"

I drop my arms and turn. Her arm comes out to the side and grabs a towel of the rack. When I look down at the floor I realize why she didn't try to go for the robe. It's in front of me lying on the floor.

"Okay, you can turn around now. And explain to me why you are in my apartment and why you think people are suddenly interested in a made-up sex life between you and me."

I take her by the elbow and guide her back to her living room. She huffs and flounces on the sofa. I go to the window and pull the curtain back. A crowd is growing around the entrance of the building, it's small now probably because they haven't seen anything to give them a guaranteed hint that we are actually in here. Once they run into the two girls from the hall who may already be down there talking to them more will come. I shot a text to Vin and my security and wait.

She wants to talk about our sex life. I'm harder than fucking lead because I saw her pretty little body in full glory and got to touch it. I have never had my hands around something so fresh and sweet. Which brings me back to Steve.

"The paparazzi are starting to show up. Looks like someone tipped them off. Probably you're Steve." She was too fucking sad when she found out he let me up for nothing but the fact I am who I am.

"He is not my Steve." She can deny it all she wants. I guess fucking the doorman doesn't get you the street cred fucking someone like me would.

"So you've never fucked Steve because it seems like the two of you are close." I'm not believing Steve hasn't hit it at least once.

When she looks up at me her eyes are filled with anger but behind that is a lot of hurt. I hurt her. "No, I have never been with Steve or you. I've never been with anyone!"

My face mirrors hers for just a second with both of our mouths hanging open. Both of us are in utter shock but for totally different reasons. Then, her's turns red, the kind of red not really found in nature as the realization of what she just gave away hits her. She shuts her eyes like she is trying to close out the fact that she just told me she was a fucking virgin.

I'm just as floored as she is knowing that this tiny thing with the perfect body hasn't ever been touched. No wonder she gives off that air of innocence. If I was a better man I would make sure she is safe and walk the fuck away. I didn't grow up in the kind of life where being the better man paid off. I grew up where if you wanted something you took it before someone else could. And I want Ivy!

It might not be right and she might come to hate me but there is no way she is getting out of my grasp now. The shit she's been doing to my body is something just natural to her. She's not aware of how fucking sexual she is or how it makes this volcano of lust and desire surge up in me. It takes me down until all I can see or think about is getting inside her pussy. Fuck if I had known she was so fucking innocent I never would have accused her of wanting to fuck for fame. The memory of Jon showing her his cock at the party last night sets off another explosion inside of me, this one hot and murderous.

I realize I have moved close enough to stand over her when a knock on the door has us both turning our heads and looking at it like it might be a portal to hell. Her eyes flash to mine briefly before dropping back to the floor. I walk over and look out the peephole at my agent standing outside waiting.

Vin walks in with the air of an old pro. He's been representing stars for a long time now and this is just another day to him. Our eyes both shift to Ivy when she stands. "I'm going to get off, to come," her cheeks are bright red and her eyes look a little wild like she might run from me, "I'm going to dress. I'm getting dressed."

I let her leave because there isn't another way out of here. Even then I find myself moving closer to the door. It didn't really latch when she shut it so I can see a little movement through the crack left open. I don't understand all that goes into making someone look like Ivy did last night but it seems like an awful lot of movement.

"How do you want to play this? Just friends, she's like a sister, no comment?" Vin's question pulls me out of my obsessive thoughts about Ivy.

"I don't think we have to lie to people." Vin's brow goes up. He knows the truth. I haven't been with anyone in a really long time. In fact, he was the one who changed part of that. When I found out he was marrying his wife, an actress he represents, and I could see how happy the two of them were together it gave me hope that I could have that too even though I am in this crazy messed up career. "Tell them we're together. We met at a party and one thing lead to another until we became a couple."

Vin doesn't say anything but his fingers fly over his phone.
