“Titan. Right.”

She smiled. “I am a little too big to do city service.”

“Do you have to be?”

“What?”

“Is your spacefaring size your only one?”

“Oh. I guess. I have only been sent on missions where the big suit was needed. It lets me keep the oxygen I need for a few days.”

“How do you do that?”

“Practice. I have canisters of compressed atmosphere in every extremity. When I get shot, the suit compensates immediately.”

He grimaced. “Do you get shot a lot?”

“Sure. I am a heavy lifter. The tank.”

He chuckled. “I am appreciating the irony.”

“Yeah. I am the smallest. I know.”

He stroked her spine. “So, what do you want to do this evening?”

“Um... I was just going to make some dinner and hang out with the teens.”

Amadine spoke from the hallway. “We can have a step battle.”

Ondine laughed. “I will kick your ass.”

“Only because you haven’t shown me all the tricks.”

She laughed. “Why would I?”

“Dinner will be in an hour.” Amadine sang it as she cruised past the open door from wherever she had been lurking.

“Wait. I haven’t shopped. What the hell is dinner?” Ondine scrambled off Geero and ran to the hall to find Amadine. The imp was sprinting toward the kitchen, laughing like a loon.

The kitchen was full of teens baking and frying, and Ondine couldn’t hear a thing until she passed the doorway then it was laughing, giggling, and flying food.

Ondine looked at Clavia, and her friend grinned. “They know you had a rough day and wanted to make you dinner. This kitchen is neater than ours.”

Ondine sighed. “I will go fix that if you like. It will let Amadine play taster for whatever the heck is in that skillet.”

Amadine grinned. “I can do that.”

Ondine glanced behind her and reached back to take Geero’s hand. “We are going to mosey.”

There were a lot ofohsand kissing noises, but Ondine just pulled Geero through the group and out the kitchen door.

She looked at him. “It is best to let them play.”

“Are you really going to make a new kitchen?” His curiosity was intent. She could see it.

“Sure. That is my primary activation. The strength and ability to fly. The matter manipulation appeared out of desperation.” She chuckled. “I like being alive.”

Yalida saw them coming and opened the door.
