“Uh-huh. I just want you to keep your options open. You can just enjoy the guesthouse.” Amadine waggled her eyebrows. “And privacy.”

“I am sure we can wait until the new house to try this out.”

“I am pretty sure that your body doesn’t want to.” Amadine smiled. “Wait, I mean.”

“Uh-huh. I haven’t quizzed it recently.”

“I am sure that Geero will get conscious consent.”

“Amy. I am going to smack you into next week.”

Her sister laughed. “Your fault for not taking me over.”

“Yup. All my fault.”

They were laughing, and Geero gave up on dancing and came over with a smile. “Uraddans party hard.”

“We do. But the kids have school tomorrow, so we are going to have to wrap this up.”

Geero smiled. “Is Sariah staying over at the guesthouse?”

Amadine shook her head. “Nope. Me and Sariah are couch surfing in the main house, so you two can get some private time.”

Geero blinked. “That isn’t necessary. We have all the time in the world.”

Amadine smiled. “Humour me. It’s her first day of leave, so she is probably a little stressed. Can you give her a back rub?”

Ondine covered her face. “You can stop any time, Amy.”

Geero smiled. “I like where she is going with this.”

“Ondine has had a rough day. She should go relax. Geero, would you give her a hand with that?”

Ondine sighed at her sister. “Bully.”

“Yeah, yeah. Go get some rest, Onny.”

Ondine sighed again, and it turned into a yawn. When she finished the yawn, she grumbled, “Fine, I concede your point.”

She hugged Amadine and nodded to Sariah and the others. She got a lot of grins and waves while two of the teens came over and hugged her good night.

Saying her goodnights to Hera was easy, and she nodded to Misker with the babies in his arms. One of the teens was there and seriously discussing the babies. It looked like a babysitter was in the works.

Ondine looked to Geero, and he walked over, taking her hand. They walked together to the guesthouse, and he murmured, “Can we wish her goodnight?”

Ondine knew who he was referring to. “Of course.”

They went inside the guesthouse, and she took him to the wall where she had hidden their daughter. The panel slid aside, and there was their little girl, but she was standing on her head.

Ondine blinked. “Oh. Shit.”

Geero asked, “Is something wrong?”

“She is getting ready to emerge. She’s head down, butt up, and ready to slide through the lower gasket.”

“Lower gasket?”

“It is part of the gestation tube. When the alarm goes off that she is trying to emerge, we move the tube into an open space, and the tube rotates so that she can come out on her own. The tube wedges her out, and I catch her.”
