“Come with me, darling,” I beg her.

Her eyes squeeze shut and she bites into her bottom lip. “I can’t...I’m so...so close...Seth...”

Fire pools into my lower belly, telling me I’m dangerously close to my own release.

My fingers move over her clit, rubbing circles until she’s pushed right over the edge with me.

Both our bodies shudder together as we reach our pleasures. I shatter inside her, filling her up with my white-hot seeds. My hips come to a halt only after I’ve drained every last drop inside her.

We’re both limp, working to catch our breaths. My head rests against her heaving breasts, allowing me to hear the way her heart is racing.

A rush of emotions overwhelms me. Rory’s acceptance sends my heart pounding with excitement and happiness.

She wraps her arms around me and laces her fingers into my hair. “Did I tell you I missed you?” she asks, grinning.

The light shining in her eyes sends a thrill through me. I see a glimmer of her old self. Hope bursts in my chest, making me kiss her again.

“Should I bring us some wine?” I ask after a while.

“I’m in the mood for some ice cream. Simon bought a tub of really good cookie dough ice cream last night and I’m craving it again.”

“Stay right here,” I tell her as I get off the couch. “I’ll go into the kitchen and bring us some ice cream.”

“Thanks,” she says, grinning happily.

The moment feels utterly surreal. It’s only been a week since she came to live with us but the change in her is truly astonishing. I’m silently grateful that both Simon and Oliver are her mates too. Without them, Rory would’ve never become so cheerful in such a short time.

The trust shining in her eyes makes my throat choke up.I’ll always protect you even if it costs me my life, I silently vow to her before heading toward the kitchen.

“Breakfast’s almost ready,” Seth’s voice sounds from the other side of the door.

“Hold on! I’m coming!” I call out loudly.

My hand is almost at the doorknob when something catches my eye.

My gaze falls on the colorful calendar hanging on the door. I usually don’t bother checking the date and only glance at the picture of a field of daffodils that covers the page, but today, something gives me pause.

“Can you give me a minute?” I call out, still staring at the calendar before me.

“Are you okay?” Seth asks in a lowered voice.

“Yeah, I’m just fixing my hair,” I quickly make up an excuse to stop Seth from worrying about me.

“Ahh, all right,” he says, sounding relieved. “I’ll be in the kitchen. Come meet us when you’re done.”

“Yeah, go ahead,” I say, moving toward the desk in the corner where my phone is charging. “I’ll be there in a few minutes.”

Picking my phone up, I glance at the date being displayed on the screen. To my astonishment, it’s no longer March. We’re already into the first week of April!

Silence falls over me as I realize a month has passed since I came to live in this house. “Has it really been that long?” I mumble to myself.

The days I spent with Seth, Oliver, and Simon have been the most peaceful and beautiful in my life. Even though they’ve been busy with their jobs, they’re always there to take care of me. I’m never left alone at night and as Simon promised, one of them always sleeps with me.

They make me so happy, I’m always looking forward to the next day.
