Jake allowed three men to violate me and abuse me in the worst possible ways. He left me tied up and vulnerable, allowing them to use every inch of my body for their sick pleasure.
My wrists and ankles are no longer tied up but I’m still naked. Jake didn’t even bother to cover me with a sheet.
The position makes me feel even more vulnerable. I have to get out of this room and away from him.
“Don’t touch me!” I hiss, slapping his hand away from me.
I sit up, feeling my muscles protest against the sudden movement. My eyes squeeze shut against the sharp flaring pain between my thighs but I don’t let it stop me from hurrying to climb off the bed.
“Where are you going, Rory?” Jake says, pulling me back against him.
“Let go of me!” I shout, elbowing him hard.
Grabbing my upper arm in a hard grip, he drags me back among the pillows.
“Let go!” I scream, struggling against him. “You’re hurting me.”
“This is nothing compared to what you’re about to face,” he says, caging me underneath him.
“Get off me!”
“Calm down, Rory,” he hisses through clenched teeth.
“How dare you let those men touch me?” I shout but my voice falters. A deep ache erupts in my chest, choking me with grief and rage. “How could you leave me and disappear? I thought you loved me.”
“I do love you, Rory,” he says, pressing a kiss to my cheek. “You’re the reason I’m going to enter the political arena this year. You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for an opportunity like this. I haveyouto thank for it.”
I scoff, feeling nothing but hatred for him. “You’ll pay for what you’ve done to me,” I vow. “I won’t let you get away with this.”
Loud laughter escapes him as he stares down at me. “You can do nothing to me.”
His mockery makes my rage burn hotter.
“You think I won’t tell the world about this?” I hiss. “Do you think I’m a fool for putting up with you and your bullshit for so long?” A self-loathing scoff escapes me. “Why am I asking you that? Iwasa fucking fool for ever trusting an asshole like you. Kaida kept warning me about you but I didn’t want to believe her. But, I’m done, Jake. You’ll never control me again.”
A grim look descends on his face. He moves away from me, allowing me to slowly sit up and grab the blanket to cover my naked breasts.
“What do you plan to do, Rory?” he asks me in a soft voice.
“I’ll report you and the men who came in here last night.”
“You think that’ll make any difference?”
“Are you forgetting who my dad is?”
“Your dad’s the mayor of this town but he won’t be able to do shit,” he says, grinning but his eyes are stone-cold as he stares at me. “He won’t even know what happened to you for a long, long time to come. By the time he realizes you’ve disappeared, it’ll be too late to trace your whereabouts.”
A wave of cold washes over me. “What’re you talking about?” I ask in a choked voice. “Why will I disappear? Are you planning to kill me?”
I’m suddenly aware of how powerful this man is. He’s an alpha who’s several times stronger than me. I never felt unsafe with him before but that was before he pulled away the mask he’d been wearing for so long.
Shifting closer, he wraps an arm around my shoulders and draws me against him. The act is intimate but sends tendrils of fear shooting through me.
“You’ve brought this on yourself, Rory,” he says. “You’re a little rebel who fought with daddy and moved out of his mansion to live with your alpha boyfriend. Your friends warned you about me. Your dad warned you about me too but you never listened. Did you?”
Guilt and shame spread through me as I remember the numerous tantrums I threw at Dad when he said he didn’t like me spending so much time with Jake. Everyone close to me saw the way he’d been manipulating me but I stayed blind.
