“What the hell are you doing?” I grate through clenched. “People are watching us.”

“So, what?” Simon demands. “We’re still going to kiss our big bruh’s boo-boos away.” Pushing Oliver out of the way, he bends down to kiss my cheek.

A violent headache throbs through me. The day has barely begun and my head is ready to explode.

“Tell me what you want and get out of here,” I hiss while my female colleagues stare at our exchange with barely-concealed excitement.

“Oof! How cold, Seth!” Oliver says, pretending to shiver.

“You’re disturbing the people working here,” I point out. “Tell me what you want or get out of here.”

“Oh, that’s okay!” A female co-worker pipes up. “It’s not a bother at all! Please take your time and discuss whatever you need to.”

“Thanks for being so understanding, Leila!” Simon says, turning his head toward the bright-faced beta woman. “You’re such a gem, you know that?”

Leila’s face turns bright pink as she shyly grins at my brother.

“Why’re you here?” I ask, focusing my gaze on Oliver. “If you’re here to fool around, let me tell you right now—”

“Fool around?” he gasps, faking a hurt expression. “Seth, you’re so rude to us.”

“We think of you as someone special,” Simon joins in. “That’s why we broughtourspecial lady to meet you. If you keep behaving this way, you’re going to hurt her feelings.”

“Your special lady?” I scoff. “Every girl you meet is special.”

“Hey, hey, shush!” Simon shouts immediately. “She’ll hear you!”

Closing my eyes, I heave another sigh. “Fine. Where is she?” I ask, hoping to get this over with as quickly as possible.

“Here, she is!” Oliver and Simon cry out together and slide to the opposite sides, revealing a short, petite woman who’d been hiding behind them.

My lips part as my eyes focus on the stranger. Is my mind playing tricks on me or is that really Rory standing before me?I wonder, taking in the young woman’s pretty face and long dark hair that tumbles down her shoulders.

A light smile curves her pink lips.

I blink, quite sure I’m hallucinating. Rory never smiled at me like that during the week she spent with me. There’s no way it’s her.

“Hi,” she says, ducking her head shyly. “How have you been?”

I’m up on my feet in an instant. The sudden movement makes several joints in my body cry out, making me squeeze my eyes shut and gasp out.

Rory’s at my side in an instant. “Seth, are you okay?” Concern swirls in her beautiful silver eyes as she lightly places a hand on my arm.

Despite the pain, I smile at her. “I’m fine. But, Rory...what are you doing here? Is everything okay with you? Do you need my help with something?”

Stepping closer, I sweep my gaze over her. There are no wounds and bruises on the exposed parts of her arms and neck, telling me she’s at least not hurt physically.

A stuttered breath escapes me as I lean in and wrap my arms around her. The delectable scent of ripe peaches wafts into my nostrils as her soft body molds against mine.

Pure relief spreads through me as I hold her. Several questions arise in my mind but right now, I’m just happy to have her in my arms.

Two pairs of hands grip my shoulders and pull me away from Rory.

“Sheesh!” Simon huffs. “Get your paws off our girlfriend!”

“That’s right!” Oliver joins in. “Stop mauling our girlfriend!”

Stepping away, I glance at my brothers. Both their faces are lit with so much mischief, they’re struggling to hold back their laughter.
