"Move to objective!"

We didn't hunt for thrills. We did it with the methodical flow born out of discipline.

"Thunder, flank left!" I shouted into my radio as I dodged a spray of bullets.

"On it, Grizzly," Thunder replied, his deep voice calm and steady.

I watched as my PO1 moved to the left, his massive frame blurred as he darted between rooms. He was a force of nature, unstoppable and unyielding.

A trained sniper, he fired his weapon like it was his arsenal. More terrorists fell to the ground.

"Paladin, cover our six!" I shouted, my own weapon spitting out rounds.

Paladin moved to the rear of the room, his sharp eyes scanning the darkness for any movement. He was like a hawk, always watching and waiting for his moment to strike.

The firefight raged on for what seemed like an eternity. We moved from room to room, clearing each one with deadly precision.

Everything went like clockwork until I reached the fourth room.

One of the terrorists was holding Falcon at gunpoint.

"Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim!" he roared before shooting.

My brother in arms and my best friend fell to the ground, blood pooling around him.

"COLE!" I shouted, dropping down beside him.

The terrorist took the opportunity to escape.

Falcon looked up at me, his eyes hollow with pain.

"Get the hostages out," he gasped. "Next room. I'll ..."

"No man behind!" I couldn't believe the salt I tasted on my lips. I was crying. "I'm not leaving you."

He gave me a wry chuckle.

"This ain't no vintage romance film, Skipper. But in another life, I'd love to watchTheGreen Milewith you just to see you bawl like a baby. Now go."

I held him in my arms, ripped in half by the need to make a choice I did not want to.

My brother, my friend. How could I let you go?

"Go!"

I nodded, my eyes burning. I laid him on the floor. "I'm sending Thunder."

"Hooyah, my brother," he whispered. "I will remember you."

I choked back my tears as I turned, each semi-second ripping a part of my heart out. "Hooyah, Falcon."

Fueled by my urgency, I burst into the next room. I could make out the forms of the other hostages.

Suddenly, a figure emerged from behind one of the hostages. My momentary lapse in concentration was all the terrorist needed. He lunged forward, grabbing one of the hostages and pulling out a knife.

I fired a clean shot, taking the man down. The hostage fell forward, screaming in panic.

My team rushed in and began taking all of them out as quickly as they could.
