I blew out a breath and shook my head. I hadn’t thought that far ahead. With the way Axel was touching me right now, the thought of leaving seemed impossible.
“A few weeks probably,” I replied. “Maybe more.”
“When you get back, I’d like to introduce you to my club. I want them to meet you.”
I knew what that meant to Axel—welcoming me into his family that had loved him, saved him. Despite leaving my old life behind, I had stepped into a new life, with a man who was my heart and my home.
“I would love that,” I whispered.
Axel sighed and locked his arms tight around me, pressing our bodies flush together. God, I would miss him so much. My resolve nearly crumbled. Why couldn’t we go on this road trip together?
But that would defeat the purpose. I needed to forge my own path. Make my own decisions. And I wasn’t leaving forever.
Besides, Axel was only a phone call away. No matter where I was in the world, he would ride to me.
Always.
