“You’re fucking perfect.” he whispered as I continued to pulse around him, urging him on, dragging him to his own release.

He spilled inside me with a long groan and his head dropped as his eyes fluttered closed.

“Don.” I breathed and he lifted his head.

I took in the shocked expression that now sat on his face and panic flooded over me.

“Shit.”

He pulled out of me, and I felt the trickle of his cum slide down to my ass as he rolled onto his side next to me and stared at the ceiling.

“I don’t regret it.” he finally said, and I released a slow breath. “I just can’t believe it happened.”

I yanked the pillow from beneath me and rolled onto my side, placing my hand on his chest.

“It did, I don’t know what this means, but I don’t regret it either.”

He pulled me closer so that my head rested on his chest beside my hand and his arm wrapped around me and drew little circles on my back. I flinched as his finger skirted over a cut that Lorenzo had left there earlier, and he withdrew his hand and pushed me away, rolling me onto my front and examining my back.

“What the fuck is this?” he snapped, and I rolled my eyes.

“Seriously Don, you turn up here looking likethatand freak out over a few little cuts.” I huffed.

“I was on a job, you’re not a Brother, you don’t get these out of occupational hazard anymore.” he said. His voice was murderous and a twisted part of me found it stupidly hot.

“It’s nothing. Not compared to what he wanted to do if I didn’t cooperate.”

“I can’t wait to kill him.” Adonis snarled and I rolled over and sat up.

“You won’t, he’s mine.” I gave him a hard look.

“I’m not having this fight again.” he said and climbed off of the bed. “I’m going to get cleaned up properly, I’ll check on you in a while.”

I frowned as he grabbed his phone and turned his back to me and opened the bedroom door. What the fuck.I hoped that Clive would come walking down the corridor at that moment and catch Adonis naked in the hall. But explaining that wasn’t something I wanted to do. Although, I hadn’t been quiet. Fuck that had been a huge risk.

“Be careful.” I said quietly before the door closed behind him and he looked over his shoulder at me. His expression momentarily softening before he pulled his usual stern look to it and closed the door.

I got up off of the bed and gathered up Adonis’ clothes. I had no idea if I could trust Clive with them, but Adonis seemed to, so I guessed he would be as discrete about this as anything else.

I sent a message to the head of staff asking him if he could dispose of some things quietly and then pulled a fluffy robe around me. He arrived at my door a few minutes later and silently took the clothes from me with a reassuring smile.

I messaged Adonis to tell him what I’d done. If it was the wrong thing to do, he could handle it. I was tired. I needed sleep. I tossed the damp sheets off of the bed and laid down with a large blanket that I’d found in the bottom drawer of the dresser. But once I was comfortable, I found myself plagued with guilty thoughts.

Toby.

Had I just cheated? Was that what that was? We weren’t exclusive, but I felt awful about what I’d just done. No matter how badly I wanted it, I couldn’t hurt Toby. Maybe I could just forget about it. But the evidence was still on my skin, and a twisted part of me enjoyed that it was there. What a fucking mess.

Adonis’ bed was comfy as fuck. His black satin sheets pooled around my waist as I stretched out my stiff muscles. I needed a decent work out soon, especially now that I was starting to feel a little more like myself. I knew I wasn’t ready to go back to work yet, but that would come in time. Just hopefully not too long.

Adonis had refused to let me pay him any rent to stay here and had assured me that my own apartment was being taken care of too. I didn’t like it, but I’d be stupid to turn down his help, so I accepted it, even if it meant I felt indebted to him. I’d find a way to repay him someday.

I leaned across to the bedside table and grabbed my phone. Since Meg’s message last night about her dinner I’d had one thing on my mind. I pulled up my best friend’s number and pressed call then put her on speakerphone as I tossed my phone down onto the sheets.

“Bobo,” Emilia said in a sleepy voice.
