I raised a brow, so she definitelywassleeping with someone else.Iwas bluffing. I’d made no progress in my search. I’d spoken with people who knew her, who had seen her recently, but nothing. I had threatened hotel receptionists and even brought Giorgio in on this. A man I didn’t completely trust, but a man who would always get results. So far though, nothing.

“Calm down amore, I think your concern is being aimed towards the wrong person. Youshouldbe worried about how you’ve hurt me, not how I’ve hurt him.” I said.

“HowI’vehurt you,” she exploded, and Adonis rose from his chair as she leaned her weight on the table and pushed her face close to mine, “I’ve done nothing, I’ve not-.”

I grabbed her face and bellowed over her. “Nothing? This is not nothing.”

“I don’t want you, Lorenzo.” she said and yanked her face out of my grip.

“You did, and you will again.” I continued to shout at her as I stood up.

Adonis began to round the table and I held a hand up to halt him.

“I’ve taken this for long enough, you are mine, and you’ll start acting like it.”

I stepped forward and she took a step back.

“Enough.” Adonis’ voice cracked through the air like a whip. I turned my rage towards him, what the fuck did he think he was doing.

“How dare you. Do you think you can tell me what to do? Do you think you’re a big man because The Brotherhood is in your reach?Isay when it’s enough, you have zero authority in this house. In MY house.”

Megan froze, her eyes locked on Adonis, fear filling them as she opened her mouth. No words came out though, only a shriek as I allowed my rage to turn back to her and threw her over my shoulder.

I marched from the dining room and up the stairs while she screamed and thrashed around. I was growing tired of her acting this way. What had happened to my insatiable little minx who would gasp and moan when I touched her. I needed her back. I’d remind her what I could do to her.

I pushed through our bedroom door and slammed it closed. Her screams got louder, but it was pointless, what was she trying to achieve?

She bounced as I threw her onto the mattress and scrambled to sit up. Her eyes darted around the room. I hated that she couldn’t see that I was what she needed.

I crouched before her and took a calming breath before gently pressing my lips to hers. Maybe I needed to start slow. She twisted her face away and her palm collided with my cheek.Maybe not.

I snarled at her and snared her wrist in my hand and stood up, dragging her up with me and across the room as she tried to fight me off. I attempted to work out what the fuck to do with her.

“Let me go Lorenzo.” she yelled, an authoritative tone to her voice, but the shake of her legs betrayed her.

I wrapped my free hand around her back and held her close to me, my fingers pressing hard enough to bruise. She attempted to push me away, but I refused to let go. She needed to understand.

“You’re mine.” I whispered into her ear and bit down on her lobe.

She stilled in my arms as she cried out and the sound sent an ache through me that brought a smile to my face. I missed that noise.

She was coming back to me.

“Mine.” I whispered again, but instead of agreeing or coming out with some sassy remark, she shook her head.

“No.” she breathed.

No?My hand fell from her wrist and circled her throat as I backed her up and slammed her into the wall.

“Mine.” I repeated, and she shook her head again.

I tightened my grip until panic flashed in her eyes, then released.

“Mine.” I said once more. She sucked in long breaths, then met my gaze with a defiant look on her face before her hands landed on my chest and she pushed with everything she had.

She managed to push me back enough to escape the cage of my body, but she couldn’t move fast enough. In the next moment I had her from behind by the waist. I moved to sit on the bed and pulled her down with me before rearranging her on my lap so that she was face down with her ass in the air.

She squirmed and tried to roll off of me, but I was so much stronger than she was. She may be skilled, but she wasn’t a match for me.
