“Girl, your twatch had cobwebs,” Gabby added.

Cassie snorted.

I rolled my eyes, “Whatever.”

“So who’s the guy?” Gabby asked.

“His name isRyder,” Cassie answered before I could get a word in. “The president of the MC totally went for her idea about interviews for her article and asked him to show mom around. He took her out on his bike this morning. And then asked her to a party tonight.”

“I’m not sure Gatetotallywent for anything,” I corrected. “More like grudgingly returned a favor.”

“What time are you meeting him?” Gabby asked.

“He didn’t really say,” I answered. “He asked me when I was done for the day and then said he’d see me after work. So I guess whenever I get there.”

“So, how hot is he?” Layla asked.

The doorbell rang.

My eyes went wide, “No way.”

Cassie scrambled to the window and looked out. “Oh, Mom,way,” she said.

She dropped the clothes and then took off out of the bathroom and down the stairs.

“Wait for us!” Layla yelled.

“Hang with the blue,” Gabby said. “And these shoes,” she added, throwing platform sandals on the pile of clothes.

She dashed after the other two.

I looked at my reflection in the mirror.

Smoky makeup. Sex me up hair.

Then I looked at the pile of clothes on the floor andlaughed.

Cassie

Cassie threw open the front door, Layla and Gabby catching up with her just in time to see what waited on the other side.

Hot wasn’t the word.

Beautiful.

Gorgeous.

Masculine.

Sculpted.

Those were all words Cassie would have used to describe the man who stood on her mother’s front stoop.

Motorcycle boots, faded jeans, white tee, Iron Dragons cut, Ray Bans, and hair that brushed his shoulders.

Cassie had inherited her father’s height, and she still had to look up.
