Lungs heaving, mind blank, she stared blindly at the links of the chains symbolizing her submission.

Releasing his little rabbit’s hip and neck, Saul braced his hands on the vertical metal poles of the framework and calmed his unsteady breathing. He’d never get used to the strength of the orgasms Caera yanked from him, and he didn’t want to—not when they were powerful enough to render his legs damn near useless, his thighs shaking with the effort to stay upright, his knees ready to give out.

She was limp, trembling, her hands dangling from her cuffs.

Shit.

Leaning forward, groaning as the movement pushed him further into the still rippling grasp of her cunt, Saul wrenched open the Velcro on first one cuff, then the other, rubbing each wrist gently before setting her arm flat on the leather. “How did I ever deserve such a good girl, Caera?”

As anticipated, he got no reply. His focus now was to make sure she woke in comfort, feeling safe and loved. He’d told her that she would crash, and it was inevitable. Emotions twined with sex could be so damned volatile sometimes, and Caera felt everything too deeply.

Sensitive little rabbit.

Within just a couple of minutes, Saul disengaged from his spaced-out sub, disposed of the condom, bundled her in one of the club’s softest blankets, and was carrying her out of the barn as the assigned pair of service subs on shift that night appeared to take care of the clean-up.

Caera’s eyes were half-closed, the green vacant. Color still rode high on her cheeks, her body awash with sporadic tremors, but she didn’t stir as he cradled her tightly, all the way back to the social area.

It was quieter there—several couples engaged in their own aftercare, a few small groups of people entertaining each other with stories—but it seemed the majority had gone to play, which was just fine with Saul.

He needed a few moments to deal with his own feelings on what had just happened.

The enormity of the weight of her trust on his shoulders.

Her absolute submission.

How it felt to be the one who could command her devotion and what it meant to them both.

Saul settled into his seat in the pit with a relieved sigh, keeping Caera close. There was only one person left in the pit, one he wasn’t expecting. He was actually surprised her Master had left her unattended, even for a short space of time. “All alone, Archie?”

Curled up in Jasper’s spot, she offered him a sleepy smile. “Master Jasper went to the bathroom.”

“I see. Are you okay?”

“Oh yes. Sir got his sjambok out for the first time in forever.” Her smile took on a mischievous edge. “That’s my favorite of his punishment toys, especially if he uses it when I’ve been good. We used a privacy room so the noise wouldn’t upset Caera.”

Just another reason why he loved their friends, he thought. Always thinking ahead, thinking of others. “I appreciate that, thank you.”

“S’no problem. Did she like her scene?”

“I hope so. I haven’t had a chance to talk to her yet.”

Anarchy sighed wistfully. “The first scene is the best, no matter what comes after. You can have favorites, but the first…it’s special. Where everything comes together, and you can see what the future is going to be like. She’s so lucky.”

He stroked the backs of his fingers over Caera’s cheekbone. “We both are.”

“She’s going to be okay, Saul. Look at Jasper—he carries so much guilt over what those monsters did to him. I see the pain in his eyes when he thinks I’m not looking, because that’s the only time he lets it show. The big, brutal sadist can’t have feelings, you know.” Anarchy stretched and sat up, wincing as her ass pressed into the seat. “I think he and Caera are cut from the same cloth, only she can’t hide her emotions. She’s too innocent. I miss those days.”

“Are you sure you’re okay, Archie?” Concerned, Saul glanced at the steps as Jasper appeared.

“I’m fine. I just keep thinking about how our lives are changing, even from a year ago. Braun and Bodie have a son, which is enormous in the grand scheme of things. I’m collared and engaged to the best man I could dream of,” she said sweetly as said man crossed the pit to her. “Atticus found his little girl, his princess, and is off slaying the biggest dragon imaginable for her. Connie has Thane, and now there’s you and Caera.” She perked up, sliding onto Jasper’s knee as they switched places. “If you marry Caera, we’ll be in-laws.”

“Kitten,” Jasper drawled. “It’s only been a month. Let Saul propose when he’s ready, not because you decree it.”

She scoffed and rested her head back on his shoulder. “I loved you well before our first month together came to an end, Sir. There’s no point in wasting time when we might only have sixty years together.”

Jasper nuzzled her throat. “I’ll still be striping your ass red when I reach the century mark, kitten.”
