That keening whine started again and, to her shock, Caera felt her eyes start to roll back in her head. She released the couch, desperately clutching at the thickness of his hair. Her hips pushed relentlessly against the drive of his hand, seeking that final peak.

“Come, Caera. Come for me now, little rabbit.”

Her legs kicked straight out, shaking and jerking in the throes of orgasm. Heat suffused every muscle, a wash of pleasure blinding her brain, dulling her senses. She could vaguely feel the ministrations of his mouth prolonging her release, sensed the vibrations his hum of enjoyment sent echoing through the sensitive nub in his mouth.

Then everything just went black.

Saul grinned to himself as Caera’s entire body went lax. The savage grip on his hair fell away, the hold her thighs had around his head loosened. Her hands thudded limply on the couch. When he looked up, he couldn’t help his satisfied chuckle as he noted his girl was passed clean out.

Carefully he disengaged himself, settling her properly on the couch before dragging a blanket over her. Leaving her only for a moment, he disappeared into the bathroom for a warm washcloth, unwilling to leave her for too long and risk her waking alone.

He studied her face as he gently cleaned between her legs. How was he so fucking lucky to have a jewel like her fall in his lap? Because she was a jewel, something so special he really shouldn’t be putting his hands on her, leaving invisible fingertips all over her body to mark her as his. He couldn’t quite comprehend why no other man hadn’t already made a play for her, despite her…aversion to people.

She sure as hell wasn’t avoiding him.

Too late now, Saul thought smugly. Caera was his and he would do whatever it took to keep her. Connie might have set them up as a temporary measure to keep Caera safe from herself, but his mind was made up, one hundred percent. Once she was used to him, once she’d been formally introduced to his dominant side, he would make damn sure he marked her as his, in all ways.

He was eager to introduce her to the people who held pride of place in his life. Without a doubt, his mother would be thrilled, his father would grunt in approval—or not, depending what mood the old bastard was in—but it was Saul’s Avalon family whose acceptance mattered most to him.

Braun and Bodie, Jasper and Anarchy, Atticus and Alicia.

Even Loki and Liam, although he would have to guard her from Loki’s playful advances, because unless there was a collar around Caera’s neck, Saul knew the youngest Master would give his best shot at poaching the pretty blonde away.

Saul snorted. If that happened, he’d just have to flatten Loki’s nose across his cheek.

Excitement rippled through him at the thought of taking her into the barns, showing her the equipment and the toys in Avalon’s arsenal. It really was unlike any other club he’d been to, not just location or the way it was set out, but the people as well.

Oh yes, he could get incredibly creative with what he had to play with.

Caera woke as he finished tending to her. The big green eyes he adored blinked open slowly, blurred with confusion and the aftereffects of a killer orgasm. When she focused on him, he automatically mirrored the satisfied smile curving her lips.

“Hey, little rabbit. You okay?”

Stifling a yawn, she nodded. “That was crazy. Like…wow.”

“Maybe we should go for round two, see if we can elevate above a level wow. It wouldn’t be a hardship,” he told her when she blinked at him. “You taste absolutely delicious.”

He loved seeing color rise from her chest, up her slender neck, until it filled her cheeks and the tips of her ears. He forgot she was fifteen years younger than he was, so much more innocent and guileless, because she didn’t act like anyone he knew in that age bracket. He seriously doubted she’d ever just let go and gone out for a night on the town, drinking until four a.m. and pigging out on pizza while drunk. Or found herself in an all-night coffee shop at two in the morning, staring out the window at the nightlife on the streets.

For fuck’s sake, she should be in college, socializing with students her own age, taking classes and building herself a future instead of planning her own death. Learning how to live, falling out of love as quickly as she fell in, making friends she’d have for the rest of her life.

Anger filtered through him. Someone, somewhere down the line, had knocked Caera off the course of her life so badly, she didn’t even know where she should be. They’d spun her around, thrown her out of whack, and left her floundering in a sea of pain and destruction.

Now she was here, with him, and while he was positive she’d be a stellar submissive, he had to take into consideration that he might not be able to keep her. Connie would help her find the roots of her condition and a way to stop the nightmares from decimating her every sleeping moment, and then she would be free to do everything she’d ever set her heart on achieving.

There was no guarantee that she would choose him.

Suddenly shy, Caera tucked her chin into her shoulder, avoiding looking at him. “I’m not delicious.”

“It’s not wise to argue with the man who would happily eat you all up again. The taste of you is still on my tongue, little rabbit.” Saul licked his lips as he helped her sit straight, tucking a cushion behind her to keep her propped up comfortably. Deftly, he arranged the blanket securely around her. “Still on my lips. So fucking sweet, you’re addictive.”

Her eyes dilated, drowning the green of her irises in the pupils. “Don’t say things like that. It makes me…tingle.” She wiggled down into the cocoon of the blanket. “All over. Did I…fall asleep?”

Saul lifted an eyebrow. “No, bunny. Your eyes rolled back in your head after a full-body orgasm, and then you passed out as though I flicked a switch. Beautiful to watch.”

Another embarrassed wiggle. “What, me passing out?”
