Page 79 of Dr. Harley

I feel a draft. I slowly peel my eyes all the way open, and notice that I’m in my bra and underwear. My arms and ankles are tied to a chair. I can’t move at all. What the hell is going on?

I suddenly hear a voice. “There she is.” I look up. As my eyes adjust to the light, I see Greg Waters.

“Dr. Waters? What’s happening? What are you doing?” He’s in sweatpants and a sweatshirt and is holding a big knife.

“Thanks to you, I received a call last night that I’m on leave from the hospital. My medical license has been revoked, pending the outcome of a criminal investigation.”

My brain is foggy. “I’m sorry, I don’t understand what you’re saying.”

“When word got out about your little hearing yesterday, several women went to the police, and the hospital administration, to file complaints about me. You’ve ruined my life.”

I shake my head. “It’s not my fault. You did this to yourself.”

He bangs his fist against the table. He’s getting angry. He shouts at me. “No,youdid this.”

I look around and notice that I’m in the kitchen of a small, run-down house. I have no clue where I am or how long I was unconscious. No one else probably knows where I am.

I’m scared. He looks unhinged. “What is it that you want from me? I can’t help you now. I have nothing to offer you.”

He smiles as he walks toward me. He softly runs the knife across the tops of my breasts. I whimper. “I want what I’ve always wanted from you, Harley. I’m leaving the country tonight, but I’m going to have you as a parting gift. You owe me that.”

Realization hits me. Tears are streaming down my cheeks. I manage to croak out, “Please don’t do this. I’m begging you. Please.” I’ve never had more to lose than I do right at this moment.

He slowly looks me up and down while giving an over-exaggerated lick of his lips. It sends a shiver of fear down my spine. I feel like I’m going to be sick.

“Harley, your body is as hot as I always imagined it to be. You always tried to hide it, but I knew what was underneath. I can’t wait to make it mine. You’ll never be the same after I’m done with you.”

He gets down on his knees and starts to move his hands up my thighs. He pulls them apart. I try to fight him, but he’s too strong. With my arms and ankles tied, I can’t offer much resistance.

I squeeze my eyes shut, as the tears are free falling. I can’t watch this. I silently pray that someone helps me stop this.

Just then, the doorbell rings. I try to scream for help, but he covers my mouth right away. He places duct tape over my lips before I have a chance to do anything. I try to scream again, but it’s muffled by the tape.

The doorbell rings again. I hear someone shouting, “Pizza delivery.” It sounds kind of like Trevor, but I doubt that’s possible.

Greg shouts through the door. “I didn’t order any pizza. Go away.”

Another shout comes back. “Are you G. Waters? That’s what it says on my ticket.”

I can only partially see into the area by the door. I can’t see all of the front door, just the front half of it, but I do see Greg move toward the front window and peel back the curtain to look out.

I hear a very faint window tap behind me. I turn and see Hayden outside through the window of the back door. He motions for me to be quiet. Tears are streaming down my cheeks as I silently plead with him to come save me.

Greg again yells for the delivery person to go away. The delivery person yells back. “I need you to at least sign my ticket that you’re rejecting the pizza. I can’t leave unless you do. I’ll get fired. I’ll sit here all day if I have to.” That’s definitely Trevor’s voice.

Greg places the chain over the door, and then opens it just a few inches. “Give me the damn ticket and then get the fuck out of here.”

The door suddenly crashes open, the chain breaking easily. Brody comes barreling through looking like a man possessed. He has a tremendous size, strength, and height advantage over Greg.

He grabs Greg by the neck and lifts him off the ground. His legs are dangling. Greg tries to stab Brody, but Brody easily knocks his hand away. It causes Greg to drop the knife to the floor.

“Where is she? I know you have her.” Greg is now swinging all of his limbs in the air.

Hayden crashes through the back door. He quickly removes the duct tape from my lips. I yell for Brody. Brody is distracted enough by my voice that Greg gets in a punch to his face, and Brody drops him.

Greg crawls for the knife, but Trevor gets there first, and gives Greg a hard kick to the face, and another to the ribs. Greg is writhing in pain. It looks like he has a broken nose. Probably a broken rib too.

I hear police sirens as Brody comes to me. He has blood trickling from his lip, which looks split open. I’m crying.
