Rather than wait for him to know—screw the code or rules or whatever—I hurry outside and lock up the bar behind me. When I turn around and see him straddling his Harley at the curb, my breath catches.

Dip is by far the sexiest man I’ve ever laid eyes on. He’s gorgeous when he’s naked, but there’s something about the way his muscles ripple beneath the cotton of his shirt and the way his cut brings out the danger in his eyes that make my panties damp.

He whistles appreciatively. “Damn, you’re beautiful,” he growls.

I look down at my outfit and then back to him. “Is this okay? You didn’t tell me what we were doing so…”

“It’s perfect,” he says as he gets off the bike and strides toward me.

Lowering his lips to mine, Dip kisses me as if his life depends on it. He lifts me into his arms and walks me back toward the wall. I wrap my legs around his waist, and he steals my breath.

But it’s over too soon.

“There will be more of that later,” he drawls. “But for now, I need to be able to ride and keep us both alive.”

“O-okay,” I say weakly.

I side down his body and stand, but my legs are shaking. Dip steadies me and guides me to the bike.

“Put your feet on the pegs, and keep your legs away from the pipes,” he instructs, pointing both out. “And hold on to me.” He winks.

“I think I can do that.”

He helps me mount up, and when he gets on in front of me, I scoot as close as I can, pressing my chest to his back.

“Holy fuck, I’m screwed,” he mutters.

Dip fires up the Harley, revs the engine, and then settles a hand on my thigh for a brief moment. He pulls away from the curb and instantly, I understand why bikers ride.

It’s freeing. The wind, the sights, the sounds… all of it is definitely something I could never tire of experiencing. And doing it with Dip?

It’s magic.

Chapter21

Dip

“This isn’t at all what I was expecting.”

I fold the blanket and tuck it into my saddlebag before facing Kennedy. Taking her on a picnic wasn’t my first idea, but it’s the one I kept going back to, so I decided to roll with it. And based on the happiness in her eyes, I’m glad I did.

“I hope that’s a good thing,” I tease.

“It is.” She turns to stare at the mountains in the distance. The sun set a while ago, and the moon casts a faint light, illuminating the peaks. “It’s so beautiful here.”

I can’t take my eyes off of Kennedy. “Yeah. Most beautiful sight I’ve ever seen.”

“Do we have to go home?” she asks, facing me again. “I’m not ready for the night to end.”

“Well, see…” I rub the side of my nose. “It’s not over yet.”

Her eyes sparkle. “It’s not.”

“Nope. There’s a party at the clubhouse. I thought we could go there for a while.”

Her excitement dims briefly, but then she smiles and nods. “Okay. That could be fun.”

“You did say you wanted to experience being drunk,” I remind her.
