"I found this outside. It's addressed to you," Kramaric said, his voice filled with caution.
I understood the sense of caution as the letter might have had something to do with Dominic’s kidnapping.
I took the envelope from him, my heart pounding in my chest. I tore it open, unaware of the shock that awaited me.
Inside was a folded piece of paper, bearing a message that sent a shiver down my spine.
It was a ransom note, concise and chilling, demanding a hefty sum in exchange for the safe return of Angela and Dominic.

They had Angela?!
The words of the ransom note echoed in my mind, intensifying the anger and desperation that coursed through my veins.
I clenched my fists, my knuckles turning white, as a wave of grief and guilt washed over me.
