"Let me take care of her, Dante," he offered, his voice filled with conviction.

"It was because of her that I was doubted, that I had to prove myself time and again. Let me be the one to ensure she faces the consequences of her actions."

I considered his proposal, knowing that Vito had a personal stake in this matter.

Isabella had been the catalyst for the doubts that had plagued our relationship, and he had been caught in the crossfire.

This would be an opportunity for him to find closure.

I placed a hand on Vito's shoulder, a gesture of trust and gratitude.

"Thank you,mio Fratello,” I replied, my voice filled with a mix of relief and determination.

"I trust you to handle this with discretion and efficiency.”

Vito nodded with a steely resolve in his eyes.

"I won't let you down, Dante. Isabella will pay for what she's done."

I reached for my desk and drew out one of the drawers.

I pulled out a bottle and placed it on the desk, pushing it over to Vito. He looked at me.

“You know what to do.”

As Isabella sat on the beach, basking in the warm sun rays and serene sight of the ocean, she felt a sense of relief.

She thought about everything that transpired, her poisoning Salvatore, barely escaping with her life in her son's rescue and eventually the news of her son’s demise.

There was no remorse or regrets.

She felt that she did what she had to do in order to secure a better future.

One that was taken from her when her first husband was killed by Salvatore.

Convinced she was finally safe from the web of danger, she allowed herself to relax and take in the beauty of the moment.

Just then she remembered that she was thirsty and ordered a drink.

She got up to walk to the bar, brushing off any sand that may have stuck to her skin.

She was still a beautiful woman, she thought, as she looked down at herself.

It’s not too late to start over.

She scanned the beach, looking to see if there were any potential suitors to take back to her room for later.

To no avail, she approach the bar and inquired about the drink she ordered.

The waiter, cute, young and all smiles, handed her the tropical sunrise and thanked her for the $100 tip she dropped in the jar.

“Maybe, I’ll make him earn that $100 tonight.” She thought with a chuckle and headed back to her spot.

She settled in and raised the glass to her lips, savoring the coolness of the liquid cascading down her throat.

It took a couple moments before a tingling sensation crept through her body.
