Luigi nodded and smiled, his dedication shining through.

"Very well, Angela. Please take a seat at the dining table, and I'll have your breakfast ready in no time."

I followed Luigi's guidance and settled at the elegantly set dining table.

As I waited, I couldn't help but appreciate the peaceful atmosphere of the room.

Before long, Luigi returned, skillfully balancing a plate of well-prepared scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and perfectly toasted bread.

"Here you go, Angela. Enjoy your breakfast," he said, placing the plate in front of me.

"Is there anything else I can do for you?"

I looked up at him, grateful for his attentiveness.

"Thank you so much, Luigi. This looks delicious but I’m truly okay.”

Luigi nodded graciously. "You're most welcome, Angela. If there's anything else you require throughout the day, please don't hesitate to ask. Have a delightful morning."

And he returned to the stove, where he continued making breakfast.

Huhn. Seems he was telling the truth. He did want to make breakfast for the family.

I savored every bite of the scrumptious breakfast, appreciating not only the flavors but also the care that Luigi had put into preparing it.

As I finished, I couldn't help but feel fortunate to have such a thoughtful and dedicated butler like Luigi in the Cortini household.

I looked outside through the windows and saw some security guards walking from somewhere where I couldn’t see to the gate of the mansion.

I watched them as they went about their business, and I couldn’t help but grow curious.

During my stay in the Cortini mansion, I had noticed the security guards at first and thought nothing of it as it seemed understandable for the rich to have security guards.

The wealthy were, after all, a walking target for criminals and robbers.

However, I soon became aware that the number of security guards employed by the Cortini family exceeded the typical norm.

Was it because Dante was a high-profile man?

He was a well-known billionaire after all.

“Luigi,” I called out, getting his attention.

“Yes, Miss Angela?”

“Why does Dante have so many guards?” I asked after eating a forkful of scrambled eggs.

I was still watching the security guards outside.

However, when I didn’t hear Luigi respond after a while, I turned back to face him.

When we made eye contact, the frown on his face that I had managed to catch a glimpse of, turned into a polite smile.

“You know Sir Dante is a public figure and a very wealthy man. There have been a few incidents over the years, hence, the increase in the number of security guards hired.” Luigi spoke.

I furrowed my eyebrows over the vague explanation.

What incidents had happened?
