His lower lip juts out as his eyes narrow.

"Vroom, Daddy."

"Like this, boy—vrooooom."

"Vroooooom."

This time, Dino puts his back into it.

I take his hand, chuckling to myself as wevroomthe car around my plushly carpeted floor.

My bedroom is a perfect place for playtime. Pastel-colored baby mats and blankets line every square foot of the floor. Baskets of blocks, stuffies, and pacifiers sit beside my coffee table. A cooler with juice boxes and yummy ice cream treats hums beside my sofa, emitting a gentle blue light.

Right now, Dino and I are getting some much-needed Daddy and boy time in after our wild morning.

Boy, oh boy—was it wild or what.

Meeting all eight Russian Protectors wiped Dino out.

I never thought my horny angel would need a break to regroup after a couple of sex sessions, but he did.

Alone time with Daddy reenergizes any sleepy Little.

Dino stares into my eyes. "I enjoy playing with you, Romeo. Thank you for being the type of sweet, sensitive man who’s willing to do this with me."

I nod. "It’s my pleasure and honor. I know you don't shareyourgentle side with everyone, Dino. We’re the same that way—we’re tough when the world requires us to be, but soft with each other. That’s the beauty of a relationship with ours, even if it’s slightly unconventional. Nothing can stop us from transforming into considerate, kind men who are willing to do what they need to do to express what’s in their hearts. No fear, no shame. Just pure acceptance."

"You already know that I don't feel this safe around everyone. Most guys I met before you, well, let’s say that they didn’t have my best interests in mind."

I squeeze Dino’s hand. "Mind telling me more?"

Dino sighs. "As a college student, I frequently tried to find a man on apps. It wasn’t the wisest idea, especially here in Italy where there are so many mobsters out there."

"I get what you mean. It’s not safe."

"Because of what happened with my father, I wanted a man who could keep me safe. Not one that was 'weak' in my mind—this was before I realized that being sensitive is true strength. No, I wanted someone who was even scarier than the guys out there who might hurt me."

"I’m not scary. I seem like it, but I’m sweet inside."

Dino’s eyes water. "That’s why I gravitated toward you right away. The first day Giosuè invited me over to play, I laid eyes on you and I lose control of my heartstrings. You were so beautiful in your suit with your powerful chiseled jaw and bulging muscles. A true killer."

"It takes a lot of work looking this good." I rub his palm tenderly.

"I thought—now there’s a man who’d treat me right. So unlike these losers I keep bumping into online who couldn’t do jack shit to keep me safe."

"I’d like to hear about what went on with your father. You’ve only spoken about it a bit."

"Giosuè hasn’t told you the full story?"

"I asked him about it once four years ago—before you flashed me—but Giosuè told me that it was your story to tell. I respected your consent and held off."

Dino pushes out a breath. "My father got involved with the wrong people. His brother—my uncle—is a gambler, and he came to my dad to ask him to pay his debt."

"Uh oh."

"In Italy, you can’t exactly run up gambling deficits without the ability to pay. Unfortunately, that’s precisely what my uncle did. He’d head to the casino every morning, set up shop at the blackjack table, and play until midnight. Sometimes, he wouldn’t even shower because he was so focused on counting cards. He thought he was a pro, but he never made real money. When his debts reached five hundred grand, he came to my father and said that the men he’d borrowed money from would break his kneecaps if he didn't cough up the money."

"Shit. Why didn’t Giosuè tell me this?" I curse. "I could’ve helped."
