“Are we taking out Galen or him and his crew?” Sonny asked.

“As many as we can, Sonny. This is all out war and there can only be one winner,” Gage replied calmly.

“We’re ready,” Sonny asserted and then turned to Avery. “And these bastards deserve everything they got comin’ to ‘em.”

Avery nodded in agreement. Even hell was too nice for Galen and his crew.

SONNY

Sonny and Avery waited outside Louisa’s Jacob’s place of business but so far, they’d seen no sign of the woman in question.

It was nearing on six PM, and the sun was just starting to set in the sky.

Sonny’s mind kept replaying this afternoon’s revelations while they waited. Wyatt was finally lucid and confirmed to Gage that Louisa was the shooter.

The police had interviewed him, but Wyatt told them a different story. One with no details. He didn’t remember anything. No self-respecting MC member was gonna cooperate with cops.

Sonny wondered what Galen was planning next.

And that brought them here, to Louisa Jacob’s business. Her trucking company was in a non-descript brick building in the southwest corner of Longford, the more industrial area of town. With a massive parking lot filled with more than twenty trucks, Sonny could see why Galen had reached out to Louisa. The business and the location were perfect. Remote enough and far from prying eyes and with access to the highway that ran south towards the border. A smuggler’s dream operation.

Avery shifted in the passenger seat every so often as they watched out the window of their SUV, waiting to make sure the place was all but deserted.

“You all right?” Sonny asked to break the silence that had engulfed them since they left the compound.

Avery nodded but kept looking out the window. “Yeah, just a bit sore is all. Been a long time since I had that much sex.”

“I didn’t hurt you, did I?” Sonny asked, suddenly concerned.

Avery finally turned towards him and offered up her biggest smile. “Not in the least. I’m just out of practice. But it’s an ache that I welcome. The very best kind.”

Sonny reached over and took her hand, giving it a quick kiss before placing it on his crotch.

“More where that came from,” he quipped.

His dick was already half hard after she smiled at him.

Goddamn it, he wanted to pull her onto his lap but now wasn’t the time. He bit his lip and placed her hand on the console, removing temptation. Avery’s chuckle told him she knew exactly what kind of power she had over him.

“Do you think she’s in there or are we wasting our time?” Avery asked.

The place was packed with trucks but deserted in terms of people, no one coming in or out.

“That’s her car parked near the entrance. According to the info Xander gave me, she’s here every day from three until six,” Sonny declared while he rubbed the scar on his face.

“How do you want to do this?”

“We go in there and act friendly. Then I’ll politely put my gun to her head and we tell her to erase any security footage from today. You do your thing, after which, we get her in the car. You head back to the SUV and wait for me.”

“Do you think Galen has eyes on her?”

“Don’t know. But we can’t wait to strike.”

He pulled out a pair of gloves and slipped them on. Avery did the same.

When Sonny was satisfied that no one was around, they quickly exited the SUV and headed for the front door. It was unlocked which wasn’t surprising for a small town.
