My eyes snap open, and I come face to face with Prescott.

The events of last night flash in my mind.

The nightmare.

The gym.

The sex.

Make it go away.

That’s exactly what he did. With his kisses. With his hands. He made me think of him and only him until my body was spent, and my brain stopped thinking about anything but him.

And then I fell asleep.

In his bed.

With him curled around me.

Prescott shifts closer, his arms tightening around me as he burrows his head in the crook of my neck. “I can feel you thinking,” he groans, his voice all raspy from sleep.

“You’re awake?”

“It was better when you were asleep. Although, did you know you snore?”

I pull back so I can glare at him, not that he can see it because his eyes are firmly shut. “I don’t snore.”

“Yes, you do. It’s all quiet and shit. Kind of cute.”

“That’s calledbreathing.”

“Mhmm… snoring.”

“I don’t…” I shake my head. “It’s too early for this.”

“That’s what I told you. Go back to sleep. I like you better when you’re quietly snoring.”

“I don’t…”

My words are cut off when the door bursts open, and Spencer appears in the doorway. “Hey, dude, are yo—”

My lips part as horror washes over me. Prescott’s eyes widen in surprise. I pull the cover over my head just as the light turns on, my heart beating a hundred miles an hour.

“Shit, I didn’t know you had company,” Spencer says, clearly amused by the whole situation.

The mattress dips as Prescott rises, so he’s covering me from view. “You’d know if you knocked!”

“Sorry, my bad.”

“Just get the hell out of here.”

“I’m going, I’m going. So much for not having girl trouble,” he chuckles. “Hey, is that the hellcat?”

Prescott grabs the pillow from the mattress and tosses it at his friend. “Get out, Monroe!”

“Fine, no need to get your panties in a twist, Wentworth.”

The door closes, and I slowly lower the blanket, so my eyes are peeking over the edge of it.
