Our ragged breaths mix together as she slowly blinks her eyes open. “What?”
“You’re not adding a matching set of marks on my front too.”
“A matching...” She shakes her head as if she’s trying to clear her mind. “What are you talking about?”
“I’m talking about the nail marks you left imprinted on my back the other night, for which Spencer has been giving me shit.”
“I didn’t... Wait, you told Spencer?” Jade hisses, her eyes turning into saucers.
“I didn’t tell Spencer shit. He calls you a hellcat.” I press my finger against her mouth. “And, yes, you did. I have to be careful when I’m in the locker room because I won’t hear the end of it if the guys find out.”
Jade shakes her head. “You guys are just a bunch of nosey old ladies.”
“Old?” I raise my brow as I pull her to me, my lips brushing against hers. “There is nothing old about me, doll.”
Fire lights up in those blue irises, making her eyes seem darker. “How about you stop talking and put your mouth where your money is?”
“And where would that be?”
“On me.”
The corner of my mouth curls upward. It’s tempting. So damn tempting to do exactly what she asked. To kiss her, right here, right now, slip my hand into her panties, and feel her wetness before I make her come so hard she’ll forget her own name. That’s exactly why I pull back.
“Another time.”
“What?” Jade blinks a few times. She looks cute. All confused like this. “Where are you going?”
I tap my fingers against the shelf. “Back to my table. I have studying to do before practice.”
“Studying? You’re going back to study?”
“Yup.” I nudge her chin up. “Close that pretty mouth. You don’t want a fly to get in.”
Jade shoves my hand away. “Shut up. You can’t be serious.”
“I am. I’ll see you around.”
“You can’t leave me like… like this.”
I raise my brows, trying my best to keep the smile from spreading over my mouth but failing miserably. “Like what?”
Jade grits her teeth. The frustration is shining in those blue irises as she shifts her weight. I know exactly what she wants, but I want her to say it.
“You know what.” Her gaze falls down to my pants and the very prominent bulge in them. “And I’m not the only one.”
No, she isn’t. But I can’t let her call all the shots. She already got what she wanted and had no problem kicking me out of her place before I was done with her. Well, two can play this game of hers.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Ugh! What’s the point of this if you’re of no use to me? I guess I’ll just have to find…”
I turn around and press her against that bookshelf before she can finish. “You wouldn’t dare.”
“You keep testing me, and you’ll find out.”
“You keep testing me, and I’ll get you all worked up every day only to leave you hanging, Cole. Now take your punishment like a good girl.”
“Punishment?” She pulls her brows together. “Are you into some kind of kink I didn’t know about?”
