“No,” I shake my head. “No more waiting.”
“Penelope…”
I raise my hand, cupping his cheek as I press my mouth against his. “I mean it, Sebastian. I want this.You.I want this with you.”
The silence stretches between us, and I can feel my nerves grow more restless with every passing second. He hasn’t changed his mind, has he?
“Okay.” His mouth meets mine in a searing kiss as we shift, so I’m lying on my back. I let my hands roam his body, my nails softly grazing their way down his back until I reach his pants, and I shove them down. They needed to go. Stat.
Breaking the kiss Sebastian pulls back. The mattress creaks as he gets up, followed by the soft rustling as his pants fall on the ground.
“Shit, I don’t have a condom.”
“What?”
How is this my life? The one time that I finally decided to have sex, and it’s impossible because of a technicality?
Besides, he’s Sebastian-freaking-Black. Based on how many girls the reporters say he’s been with, I expected him to have his own condom brand or something.
“I don’t have a condom. Not even back in the apartment, not that it would help since it’s locked, but…”
Wait…
“You don’t have condoms at all?”
“There hasn’t really been anybody since before I got here, so no.”
I push upright, scooting my legs over the edge of the bed. “Really? Nobody?”
“I’ve been busy with other things, and then you happened and…”
His words trail off, and is there a trace of embarrassment I can hear in his voice? It can’t be, can it? Sebastian doesn’t get embarrassed.
“C’mere,” I whisper, extending my hand. He places his fingers in mine, and I pull him closer. My hand slides up his arm and to the back of his neck, urging him to bend down and kiss me.
Cursing silently, his mouth presses against mine, one knee sinking into the mattress as he kisses me as we fall on the mattress.
I raise my hand, but it bumps against the nightstand sending a jolt of pain through my arm.
“Shit,” I hiss, pulling my arm to my chest.
“You okay?”
“Yeah, just—” Then it hits me. “Wait!”
Pushing him out of my way, I pull open the drawer and go through it until I find the little foil package in the deep corner and lift it in victory. “God bless Jade and her nosey ways.”
“You have a condom?”
“I just remembered Jade gave it to me a few weeks ago.” I take his hand in mine and place the foil wrapper into it. “I have an IUD too, but… This feels safer, I guess.”
Sebastian’s fingers wrap around mine, and he brings our linked hands to his mouth, pressing a kiss against my knuckles. “I meant what I told you. We can wait.”
“I just want us to be safe, that’s all. Will this work?”
“Yeah.”
I can hear the sound of the foil ripping, and then before I know it, Sebastian’s body is brushing against mine. My nipples harden as they rub against his chest. Sebastian lets out a low groan as he kisses me, his hand cupping one of my breasts, thumb rubbing against my nipple.
