"Are you sure this is a good idea?" I asked, but Chelsea was already elbowing her way through the crowd.

We finally made it to the front, and what we saw was... not what we were expecting. It wasn't a street fight at all. It was two old men arguing over a parking spot.

Chelsea burst out laughing, and I couldn't help but join in. The two men were going at it, yelling and waving their fists in the air, but neither of them seemed to be willing to throw a punch.

"Is this what you wanted to see?" I asked Chelsea through my laughter.

She nodded, still chuckling. "I thought it was going to be a real street fight, but this is even better."

As we watched the two old men continue to argue, a police car pulled up, and two officers got out. They quickly separated the men and started talking to them.

"Looks like the show's over," I said, still laughing.

But then, one of the officers turned toward us. "Did you two see what happened here?" he asked.

Chelsea and I looked at each other, unsure of what to say. "Uh, we just saw the two men arguing," I said.

The officer nodded. "Alright, thanks. You two should probably move along now."

As we made our way back through the crowd, Chelsea was still laughing. "Can you believe it?"

I chuckled. "Well, at least we got a good story out of it."

We decided to ditch the subway and just take a cab. It would be expensive, but it just felt right, given how we’d spent the evening.

I let the window down, and cold night air gushed in, tangling my hair into knots. I didn’t care. Every second of the salty-sweet wind playing on my eyelids felt like it was worth it. The driver sped on, and outside, the city lights dimmed into one amoebic organism.

It was all golden.

Somewhere along the journey, I fell asleep.

And then, there was a dream.

I was back in my bedroom. Wait, no. This wasn’t my bedroom at all.

It looked like I’d entered a large, live chatroom. There was a massive television screen in front of me. Suddenly, a notification popped up on it.

You have a response to your advertisement.

What?

I looked around me, wondering where the hell Chelsea had disappeared to. My heart began racing.

“Chelsea?” I called out.

There was no response.

Masked hunk would like to meet you in person.

An electric jolt passed from my stomach to my mouth, filling me with anticipatory exhilaration. There was a familiar warmth between my thighs. I took a moment to gather myself.

Breathe in, Rors. Breathe out.

I noticed a remote next to me and clicked on the button at the center. Another message appeared on the screen.

Hello, Rory. Tell me exactly what it is you would like. Don’t let any inhibitions get in the way.

What would I like? I had no clue.
