I did. I pulled off my shoes with trembling hands and placed them in the locker, then slid my arms out of my coat and hung that in the locker as well. I rubbed my arms as goosebumps rose on them, even in the warm air of the club.

“Let’s go, baby.” Drew steered me through the play area. There were Singles Night couples beginning scenes on several pieces of equipment, but I barely got a glimpse of them as he moved us quickly through the theme room hallway and to a staircase at the end of the hall.

On the second floor, closed doors lined a dark hallway. The sounds from the club below were barely audible. Drew opened the first door. “In you go.”

I looked around in the dim light as I entered the room. I’d been a member of Blackstone for a while, but I’d never been in any of the private rooms. I’d assumed they were like hotel rooms. A bed, a bathroom, maybe a few restraints on the bed to make it kinky.

I hadn’t pictured this.

The walls and flooring were dark. A dim, warm light came from two sconces on the walls. Where the light hit, the wall looked crimson colored. There was a bed. I’d gotten that right, at least. But it was practically hidden against the far wall.

The dominant feature of the room was a St. Andrew’s cross. There was a closet next to it. My imagination ran through all the things one could store in a closet like that.

The butterflies rose again in my stomach as the lock clicked in the door.

“Tell me your safe words.” Drew’s voice sounded deeper than normal, more threatening.

“Red, Sir, for stop. Yellow for slow down.” I took a deep breath. My core was heating already, although if I was honest, I’d been wet since Drew showed up at my house. Since we’d entered this room, my arousal was threatening to drip down my thigh.

“Good girl. Now, you have a choice. You may start over my lap, if you’d like. We will address the easy questions and then move to the cross. Or you may start with the cross.”

“The cross, please, Sir.” The answer came easily to me. I was a masochist, but more than that, I knew there were no simple questions tonight. I needed the pain to get the words out and lift the truth off my chest.

Drew nodded. “The cross it is, then. Clothes off, baby.”

As I removed each piece of clothing, I dropped it on the floor, kicking it to the side. I shivered as I stood naked before him.

Drew’s gaze ran down my body, lingering at my tight nipples. I fisted my hands at my side, forcing myself to keep them there instead of covering myself.

He held one hand out. “Wrists.”

I offered him one wrist. He fastened a leather cuff around it, then took the other wrist and did the same. He ran a finger between the cuff and my skin. “Too tight?”

I shook my head. It was perfect.

Drew moved to my ankles, fastening matching cuffs around each. Once he checked the tightness on those, he guided me toward the cross. My upper body pressed against the leather-covered padding in the center.

He pushed my feet apart with his own foot, spreading me wide, then clipped the ankle cuffs to restraints on the cross before attaching the wrist restraints as well.

I pulled at the bonds. There was no give, and somehow, that relaxed me further.

Drew’s hand ran down my back. “Are you good, baby?”

I nodded, already feeling the pull of subspace.

“Verbal response, please.”

I jolted as he landed a swat on my backside. “Yes, Sir.”

The vibrations of his voice rumbled through me. “Good girl.”

There was a jangle, then a whoosh as he undid his belt, then pulled it free of the loops of his pants.

Drew ran the folded leather over my back. “You ready?”

I let out a breath. “Yes, Sir.”

He lifted the belt and brought it down on my bottom cheeks three times. “Now, baby, time to talk.” Another lash. “When do you open the door, baby? On the first knock? Or the second?”
