“And Gwendoline, no need to be all dressed up. This is your home for the next few days.”

“Okay,” she shyly said and closed the door behind her.

Rayen came over and sat opposite of him in an armchair. He was grinning from ear to ear, slightly mischievous. “What do you think she’ll wear?”

Amon walked back to the office grumbling in disagreement.

“If you don’t wanna see it or be part of the bet, go hide in your office.” Rayen turned his attention back to Silas. “So, any thoughts?”

“Jeans and a shirt.”

He liked Gwen far more in her everyday outfits than what Amon made her wear. She seemed far more comfortable, even though her high heels always made her ass look gorgeous.

“I thought the same.”

They impatiently waited for her to return and were rewarded just thirty minutes later. Her little footsteps came closer, and hesitantly stopped at the entry to the living room. He looked up and grew hard yet again just looking at her. She, as expected, was wearing tight, light jeans and a black t-shirt. She was barefoot, her eyes moving between Silas and Rayen.

“Is it okay if I used the kitchen or would that bother anyone?”

“Not at all, Gwendoline,” Rayen said, his eyes forcefully held on her face.

She nodded and turned to the kitchen that was open to the living room. Her hips unintentionally swayed as she walked. Rayen started grinning, enjoying the view just as much as Silas did. Their eyes met for just a moment before Rayen got up and followed her into the kitchen.

“Gwendoline, here is the key for the Mercedes out in the garage. You’re more than welcome to use it whenever you like.”

“Thank you.”

Silas’s feet moved without thought, following them into the kitchen where he leaned against the wall. She turned to the fridge, her eyes widening as she looked inside.

“Is there anything missing?” Rayen asked playfully.

She quickly shook her head. “No.” She turned back around with a yogurt and fruit in her hands. “I’ll be right back out, so you can make your dinner.”

Maybe I can have you for dinner.

It took Silas all his will power not to say it out loud. He didn’t even want to sink his fangs into her neck, rather wanted to devour her in other more pleasurable ways. Rayen must have had the same thought or at least one close as he looked back, his eyes slightly reddening.

Luckily, Gwen was looking down and didn’t see them both struggling with themselves. She was cutting up the fruit into a bowl. She bit her lip, her cheeks slightly flushed as if she was ashamed of something she’d just thought of. Was she struggling too?

“Gwendoline, is there something on your mind?”

“Will I be going to the open house too?”

“Of course.”

She seemed insecure about something, her eyes fixed on her bowl. “What kind of dress code will it be?”

“Would you like us to make you an appointment to find the appropriate clothes?” Rayen suggested.

She didn’t seem to like the idea but nodded in agreement. Most likely only because she didn’t want to disappoint or even anger Amon. Hiding her disapproval, she turned back to the fridge and searched for more food. She had a good appetite. Silas liked that about her.

She pointed at something that he couldn’t see. “Are those for anyone?”

“Take whatever you like,” Rayen encouraged her.

She reached for it and grabbed two premade sandwiches that the housekeeper must have made for them. With her free hand she took the bowl and walked around the large island and rushed back to her room.

“If you keep looking at her like she’s a snack, you might as well devour her right here,” Rayen whispered.
