"Anthony!" Diana cries out, her voice shaking. "Don't become a monster like them!"

"Too late for that," I reply darkly, releasing the lifeless body of the Fed. It slumps to the ground, and I turn to face Atwell. "Your turn."

Atwell and I circle each other like predators sizing up their prey. With every exhale, my breath fogs the air, the cold biting into my sweat-drenched skin. Diana's whimpers of pain echo in my ears.

"Give it up, Giovanni," Atwell taunts, his twisted grin sending a shiver down my spine. "You're outmatched and outgunned."

"Let her go, Atwell," I growl through gritted teeth. "This is between you and me."

"Ah, but she's such a sweet prize, don't you think?" He gestures towards Diana, his eyes gleaming with malice. "I wonder how long she can last before she breaks."

"Touch her again, and I'll tear you apart," I snarl, my fists clenching at my sides. The thought of him laying another hand on her makes my blood boil.

"Bold words for a dead man," Atwell smirks, lunging forward.

Our fists collide in a brutal dance as we trade blow after vicious blow. Each strike brings a fresh wave of pain, but I refuse to relent. My knuckles are bruised and bloodied, yet every ounce of agony only feeds my determination.

Atwell's laughter fills the warehouse, mocking and cruel. "You really think you can win, don't you?" he sneers. "You're nothing but a pathetic pawn, and I'm going to make sure you suffer."

His fist slams into my jaw, sending me staggering back. I taste blood in my mouth, but I force myself to stay on my feet. My vision blurs as I shake off the dizziness, focusing on the hatred burning in Atwell's eyes.

"Is that all you got?" I spit, wiping the blood from my chin. "You'll have to do better than that."

"Very well," he replies, a sinister smile spreading across his face. He reaches behind him, drawing a gleaming blade from his belt. "Let's see how you handle this."

"Anthony!" Diana screams, her terror palpable. "He's going to kill you!"

"Over my dead body," I mutter, sizing up the weapon in Atwell's hand. This changes everything – one wrong move, and it could be the end of me.

"Exactly," Atwell smirks, lunging towards me with the knife slicing through the air.

I dodge to the side, narrowly avoiding the flash of steel. My heart hammers against my ribcage, the adrenaline coursing through my veins like wildfire. I can't afford to hesitate – not when the stakes are this high.

As our deadly struggle continues, each slash and thrust brings us closer to victory or defeat. I know I can't keep this up forever, but I refuse to surrender while Diana's life hangs in the balance. She's depending on me, and I won't let her down.

"Anthony!" Diana calls out, her voice choked with tears. "Please, just run! Save yourself!"

"Never," I gasp, gritting my teeth as the blade slices my arm. "I won't leave you behind!"

"Stubborn fool," Atwell snarls, his eyes lighting up with sadistic glee. "Then you'll die together."

His next attack comes faster than I can react, the knife arcing toward my throat with lethal precision.

Chapter 27

Diana

I struggle against the ropes, the rough fibers cutting into my wrists.

Anthony had tried to get me out before Atwell and Miller's return, due to which I can feel the ropes loosening.

I can't bear to watch as Damon Atwell holds a knife to Anthony's neck.

Panic surges through me, but I can't let it take control.

Right now, I need to focus on getting free.

I don't know how much longer Anthony can hold out, given that he has a deep gash on his arm and is bleeding out slowly.
