I spend the drive to the wedding trying extra hard to keep my emotions off my face.

I stopped hiding how I felt a long time ago, and now I am going to have to go back to it.

I am going to have to be more self-aware and conscious of my facial reactions for a bit until I get back into the natural swing of things.

Thankfully today, I just have to try and keep a smile on my face.

The trick is going to be to make sure it isn't clear that it is fake.

When the car finally pulls up, I notice that we are at a vineyard.

I suspect it belongs to someone in Anthony's family.

As far as wedding locations go, though, it isn't bad.

I am not a wine drinker, but the greenery is gorgeous.

Vineyards are typically high-end and very fancy within the tasting hall.

As the car pulls up to the front of the vineyard, I see my father standing there in a black suit with a dark red tie, and I know what the wedding colors are going to be.

Once again, they are very masculine colors, but that truly is the least of my problems.

Letting out a sigh, I get out of the car as my father opens the door.

He has not seen my dress, and the second I stand up, he looks me over, and I can't tell if he is pleased by it or not.

It doesn't matter to me; he has lost all rights to tell me what I can wear a long time ago.

If I am going to be forced to go through this sham of a wedding, then I would do so in a dress that I liked.

“Are you going to take me inside or would you like to keep staring at me?” I ask, doing my best to keep the bite from my tone.

His hard look tells me I don’t fully succeed.

"Now that you are finally here, the ceremony can begin," he says, unimpressed with my twenty minutes late arrival.

Technically, I was supposed to be here an hour ago, and the wedding was supposed to start twenty minutes ago, but I don't care.

I have to be here today, but nowhere did I say I would be early or on time.

"Let's get this show on the road then," I say with a tight smile, realizing I need to get better at my fake smiles as well.

He holds his right arm out for me, and I thread my own arm through his, allowing him to guide me towards the entrance of the vineyard.

I don't know if the ceremony will be indoors or outdoors.

I hope it will be outdoors.

It's a beautiful warm day, and it would be nice to focus on the scenery and not Anthony's face.

I know that being late means we'll have to take photos after the ceremony and before the reception, something I'm certain the wedding party will be annoyed over, but I can't bring myself to care.

I'm relieved when my father guides me towards the side door and starts walking me outside.

As the music begins to play, my nerves kick into high gear.

Now it's actually happening, the true reality of all this is slapping me in the face.
