Everything builds inside me again, his pelvic bone hitting my clit perfectly. Stars dance behind my eyes. With all my strength, I tug on his head so his lips are forced to collide with mine. He swallows my cries and moans, his chest rumbling against mine as I come.

“Fuck.” He tears his mouth away, sucking in air and his head falls back, groaning with his own release.

We’re both breathing hard, our heartbeats pounding against each other. Onyx uses his arm to support my back and helps ease my body off the bar. He slips out of me and quickly tucks himself back into his pants. My legs shake and I stand waiting, my arms coming up to wrap around my naked torso. “Here.” He slides his shirt over my head, which comes down past my ass cheeks at least. He has a tank top underneath, so he is still covered. “Hold still,” he tells me and I watch as he hunts down my shorts and tights. He untangles them and bends down in front of me. He motions for my feet to move and slides the shorts back up my legs. I can still feel the stickiness between my legs, but at least I’m covered for now.

“I should go.” I move to step around him, but he’s quicker.

“You’re coming with me.” He grabs my hand and starts pulling me toward the exit doors.

“I really don’t want to go outside like this,” I tell him, trying to halt his determined stride.

Onyx scoffs. “I would never let anyone see you like this, Jade. I have a private car already waiting for us. Terrance checked and no one will be around.”

“You planned this?” I ask, my brow rising.

He stops and turns, so we’re facing each other. “I finished my record. I haven’t seen you and I knew when I did, I would want to get you out of here as fast as I could. Making love to you in the back room was just an added bonus.”

This time I scoff and roll my eyes. Onyx laughs softly and gets us moving again. Once the back door opens, the sky is dark and the air is still. Sure enough, a red sports car is waiting. He holds the door open for me and I slide in. I refuse to dwell on what happened or how he referred to it as making love to me. This needs to stay private. We have a show to perform. A world tour that needs to happen.

ChapterTwenty-Nine

Onyx

“Istill can’t believe she hid the pregnancy from us,” Jade murmurs quietly in her seat. Everyone else on the jet has been sleeping for most of the journey to New Zealand. She can’t believe it, but I can. Mia is strong as nails, and I admire that she wanted to give Zander the opportunity to hear about his son first. What I can’t believe is that as soon as Jade and Ocean found out, a sneaky tactic on Spyder and Beck’s part, the girls whisked us all away over the holiday to be with her. Mia agreed, but I think it's only because she still doesn’t know that we know.

Reaching over, I take her hand in mine. Jade’s eyes widen and she checks to make sure everyone is sleeping. “Little Star, do you honestly think they don’t know there is something going on between us at this point?”

“Even if they think it, I’d rather not flaunt it. The tour has to be perfect. I don’t want anyone to think I’m using you.”

“Use me all you want, baby.” I lean in and kiss the corner of her mouth. “When we get back from rescuing your friend, we need to talk anyways.”

“About what?” She frowns at me.

“I’m not hiding this, Jade. People will find out eventually and I don’t have a problem with it. You and I need to talk about how we move forward and if you can let go of the past.”

The minute I say it, Jade’s eyes go blank and she shuts down. She knows she’s mine, but she still hasn’t reconciled the past. To be fair, I still haven’t explained everything to her about why I left and the reasons I had to stay in my grandfather’s business longer. Maybe I’m a dick, but I want her to forgive me before I do. Because once she hears it all, she might choose to leave and she would be right to. When she sees the actual dark and evil stain on my soul, there is a good chance she’ll disappear.

“Let's talk later, okay? I’m tired.” Jade tries to smile and dismisses me by lying her head back in the chair and closing her eyes. Frustration and anger build in my chest, but I stomp them down. Flying fifty-two thousand miles in the air and surrounded by her friends and the people she has made her family is not the time to get into it anyways.

“Wait? Do you guys hear that?”Ocean leans her ear to the door, and this time, the noise can be heard louder.

“Did the baby already come?” Jade’s eyes widen.

We all stand there looking at each other. I contemplate leaving when Spyder jumps in front of us all and knocks on the door. To everyone’s surprise, Zander himself opens the door.

“The fuck are you doing here?” Becks stomps into the house, intent on getting to Zander.

“It’s none of your business,” the man fires back. Wrong thing to say to Mia’s best friends. I move between the two men, ushering Becks back, right as Ocean yells, “Stop fighting!”

“Get him the hell out of here!” Spyder grabs Zander, holding him in place. Mia’s brother York moves into the room and also stands next to Zander, keeping a firm eye on all of us. Jade and Ocean are watching with wide eyes. Clearly, none of them planned for this scenario.

Mia chooses that moment to come back, her ocean-colored eyes are fired up. “Enough. I just put the baby to sleep and if any of you wake him, I’ll kick you out even if it is Christmas.”

They argue amongst themselves, and soon, we’re being kicked out the door. “What in the hell.” Becks breathes unevenly.

Jade slips her hand into mine and I can see tears on her lashes. Ocean looks ready to cry too. “Look, let's give them a minute okay. Let the baby nap then drag your sorry asses back here and man up. It's a holiday. And she just had a baby,” I say, and glance at the crowd.
