Chapter 6

Perie

We didn’t remain at the Belladonna for long. The lust, the desire, and maybe, just maybe the love was too strong to be ignored. Keeping my hand in his, he led me from the club to his car, and after we were both inside he turned to me and said, “I’m taking you to what I hope will be your new home very soon. Is that okay?”

I felt myself blushing at his words. He was my book boyfriends come to life and I knew exactly how my female characters felt. I was happy, I was scared, I had all the feels and I wasn’t sure from moment to moment how I was feeling. The only thing I did know was that I wanted at least one perfect night with the man. If I never slept with him again, this one night would feed my soul for years.

“Take me home, Alistair.” I smiled at him as the smile that appeared on his face was a true work of art. He was so beautiful. He reached up and cupped my jaw with his hand and gave me a tender kiss that made me sigh happily into him.

Too soon he pulled away and started his car. Before long we were on the highway on our way to his home. He lived on the outskirts of the city in a secluded gated area. This wasn’t ordinary retired cops' security. “The people who live here depend on security to keep out potentially dangerous people from crazed fans to rivals. Don’t be afraid of them though. Once I tell them who you are to me, you’ll be under their protection as well.”

“They look like Black Ops soldiers.” When Alistair just smiled, I gulped. These guys were definitely not retired cops.

“Good evening, Mr. Heney.”

“Hey, Mac. I want to add my girlfriend, Perie Winters, to the approved list. That way she can come and go as she pleases.”

“Certainly, sir. I just need to see her ID and I’ll get that taken care of for you. What kind of access, sir?”

I handed Alistair my ID and with a smile, he handed it to Mac while replying, “Full. Keep the end date blank.”

Mac quirked a surprised eyebrow at him before turning to the gatehouse and going inside. We didn’t have to wait long before Mac returned and handed Alistair my ID. “She’s all set, sir. Ma’am, you’re in the system now but it might take a few days before all the security knows you on sight. I hope you’ll be patient with us.”

“Of course, Mac. Thank you,” I replied with a smile, Alistair holding my hand in his.

“Thank you, Mac. Have a good evening.” Alistair rolled up his window and proceeded through the gate.

As we drove, I couldn’t see any other houses. Just trees and the occasional driveway. “Alistair, this is going to sound horrible but I have to ask, call it the author in me. Just how much money do you have to have to live here?”

At his chuckle, I felt a sense of relief that he wasn’t insulted. “A lot but you don’t have to worry about money and that sort of thing anymore. That’s my job. I just want you to do what makes you happy.”

I blinked at him in surprise. “I have to admit the one thing I’ve always hoped to do was to hire someone to help with all the tedious stuff that takes time away from the actual writing.”

This man simply smiled at me as we entered a private road. Then I saw it. We arrived at a beautiful villa that one would think was on a secluded island. There was greenery everywhere and as Alistair opened my door, I took a deep breath of the clean air and closed my eyes as I listened to the evening sounds along with the soft sounds of waves from the lake the house sat on. It was peaceful and romantic. When I opened my eyes I saw the handsome man in front of me smiling. “What?”

“Just you. Your reaction to my home is perfect just as you’re perfect,” he replied as he took my hand in his and kissed it.

“Oh, you’re silly. I’m not perfect, far from it. I just love all of this. It’s so peaceful. I can see why you live here.”

“Most women who come here, when I’ve hosted business dinner parties, only see the house and dollar signs. Not you, though. That just shows me how perfect you are.”

Standing up on my tiptoes, I reached up and caressed his cheeks, “I want to kiss you again, but you’re too tall, my handsome man.”

Alistair smirked at me. “And you’re my tiny flower, the beauty in my lonely existence.” Wrapping his arms around my waist, he lifted me so that I could wrap my arms around his neck as our lips met passionately. As our kiss deepened, he carried me into the house, and without stopping once, he headed to the bedroom. He put me down onto my feet in front of the bed as his kisses moved across my jaw and down my neck. “I’ll show you around our home later. Right now I must worship you as the goddess that you are.”

He paused only to turn me around so that he could unzip the dress I wore. As he did, he gently pushed the straps down my arms as he caressed my skin. His touch relit the fire inside of me. I wanted this man more than I wanted anything else. Nothing had ever felt like my desire for him. It was all-consuming until a simple touch of his fingers caused me to shiver in delight.

He turned me around as I stood before him in my sheer bra and panties and heels. The fire in his eyes as he looked at me made me wetter than I’d ever been before. I admit writing sex scenes could turn me on but nothing like this. Nothing even close to this.

I found myself drowning in his eyes before I even realized I had pushed his jacket off of him. My fingers undid each button of his shirt, my eyes never leaving his. He leaned down and captured my lips in an all-consuming kiss, my fingers never stopping until I was able to push it off of him. My fingers grazed over his hard abs.

As Alistair's fingers reached around my back to release my bra his lips grazed my neck, my eyes closed at the sensation. Everything was better than I could ever imagine it being. Those scenes I wrote were nothing compared to this. This was everything.

My bra released and I let it fall to the ground. At his sharp intake of air, I looked into Alistair's eyes nervously. “I'm not thin, I…”

“No, you’re more perfect than any fantasy or any other female I’ve ever seen,” he stated as he caressed me before picking me up and laying me down on the bed. His mouth captured a rosy nipple, and his hands drifted down and started to undo his pants. Before long all that remained of our clothing was our underwear.

My eyes followed my fingers as I traced the tattoos that were hidden by his clothing. They were so beautiful. A mixture of styles that blended seamlessly into a story about the man I was already feeling so strongly about. “You are so much more than I could ever imagine.”
