We're both smiling as I place her back down on the dance floor. Her hand wanders up to the nape of my neck, and she pulls me towards her, kissing me deeply. I can feel the warmth from her body radiating through me, and I almost laugh as I realize what I'm thinking.

I'm married now.

And damn, it feels good.

I pull away with a laugh. "You're gonna give me a fucking hard-on if you're not careful," I say.

"That's the point," she grins. "Wedding night activities."

"You don't waste any time, do you?"

"Not when it comes to things I want," she says, her eyes bright.

"So once the toasts and the meals and the hugs are all done...we get to work," I tell her.

"You make it sound like a job."

"It is," I shrug. "It's what you want...and as your husband, it's my job to make you happy."

"I'm already so happy," she says. "It's been a perfect day...but I'm looking forward to what comes next."

"I like the way you think," I say.

I turn and grab two flutes of champagne off one of the many passing trays. I hand one to her and clink mine against hers.

"To the rest of our lives together," I say. "And the lucky kid that gets to grow up with two parents like us."

"Cheers," she grins, taking a sip.

We walk back towards the table, hand in hand.

"Okay, guys," Johnny calls out. "Now that they're married...are we taking bets on when the first kid comes along?"

"Well, this is Fern Hollow," Chance says. "So probably pretty damn soon."

The guys all laugh, and everyone turns to Jenny and me, expecting us to join in. But we stay quiet, knowing that all we need is to talk to each other.

Like so many other things, this belongs to us--this night, this secret, and the rest of our lives. We'll do things our schedule, just like we always have.

Because with Jenny, some things move fast and some move slow.

But what counts is that no matter what we do or how things change, we grow and change together.
