He had to laugh at that outraged expression on his man’s face.

He pulled Zero closer and wrapped his arms around him.

“Thank you for seeing me as more than…”

“You’re my hero, Z. My knight in shining armor.”

He pressed a kiss to Zero’s lips.

“You know,” Zero said, a mischievous look in his eyes. “My bike is still being repaired after what those Russians did to it, so I’ll have to ride with you.”

“Not a lot of room on there. You’ll have to be pressed real close up against me.”

Zero’s eyes got heated in an instant.

“This ride is gonna be a short one for us, isn’t it?”

“We’ll have plenty of other rides,” Jack said.

“You promise?”

“Fuck yeah.”

He sealed that promise with a kiss that had him panting and gasping out, “This better be the shortest ride in history.”

Zero’s bark of laughter had him shaking his head while he cursed under his breath.

They got on that bike together and he’d thought he’d never been happier than when he got his cut back, but that wasn’t true. He knew that the second Zero’s arms wrapped around him.

Happiness didn’t even begin to describe how he felt with Zero at his side.

Epilogue

Zero

IF SOMEONE had told him a few years ago that he’d end up with a family who didn’t look at him as if he was just a murderer, he would’ve thought them a liar. If they’d also told him that someone would trust him enough to let him hold their baby, he would’ve called them insane. They would’ve been telling the truth, but it still didn’t feel real sometimes.

He jumped around and made faces at the little girl in his arms in an attempt to make her laugh. He never seemed to have to try that hard, though. He wasn’t sure if he should be offended that Ciara always giggled when she saw him. Sully claimed it was because he had a funny face whereas Jet pretended to take it personally and worked harder than everyone else to bring the most laughs out of Ciara. He’d claimed the title of the fun uncle before she’d even been born.

“What are you laughing at, huh?” Sully said to Ciara. “Is it your uncle’s ugly mug?”

Ciara made a whiny sound and grimaced at her father.

“Oh no. Did you see your dad’s dumb face? That would make anyone cry,” Jack quipped.

Zero snorted, then rolled his eyes when Sully tried to put Jack in a headlock and they both ended up on the ground. Ciara thought it hilarious, and that baby laugh had him cracking a smile until a distinct smell hit his nose.

“I think someone needs a diaper change.” He blew a raspberry on her cheek which had her squealing. “Hey, Jet?”

Two seconds later, Jet was in front of him, making grabby hands at Ciara. He handed her over with a smile on his face.

“You’re such a stinker,” Jet said and looked at her with nothing but pure love.

Jet walked off to get her changed. That was one thing he preferred letting others do and Jet seemed to love it.

Ash getting pregnant may have been an accident but keeping the baby? The way Ash told the story, she’d shown Sully the pregnancy test and then they had laughed, cried, and laughed some more before they both said they wanted to keep the baby at the same time.

When Ciara had been a week old, Sully had said he wanted many more kids and Ash had told him he’d be the one birthing them in that case. He didn’t doubt Sully would wear her down eventually, though, because it was pretty clear she did want more, just not as fast as Sully did. In Ash’s words; her vagina was amazing and she wasn’t about to wreck it twice in one year. Not even for Sully.
