Arms wrapped around him from behind and a grin spread on his face as he looked over his shoulder at Jack. The way the man looked at him never ceased to amaze him. He’d never met anyone who could communicate so much love with just a look.
“Did you kick your brother’s ass?”
Jack huffed out a laugh. “Oh, yeah. That dad bod isn’t working in his favor.”
“It works just fine for me,” Ash said as she walked up next to them.
Zero pressed his lips together to keep from laughing at the disgusted look on Jack’s face.
“Ew. No,” Jack said with a shake of his head.
Ash threw her head back with a cackle.
He tried, for Jack’s sake, but Ash had one of those laughs you just couldn’t keep from joining in on.
When his boyfriend pouted at him, he laughed some more before pressing a kiss to his cheek.
“You’re so not forgiven,” Jack muttered.
“I’ll work on that later,” he said with a wink.
A grin spread on Jack’s face when Ash mock-gagged.
He shook his head and movement caught his eyes. Jet was walking outside with Ciara in his arms and Walker was heading toward them, rubbing his hands over his jeans.
“Oooh. Is it now?” Ash asked, bouncing on her heels.
“Why are you asking us?” Jack drawled.
She flipped him off and walked over to stand with her boyfriend who’d just snatched their daughter back from Jet.
He glanced at Jack, the man’s eyes twinkling with amusement.
“You think he’s gonna freak out?” Jack asked him.
“Nah. Jet doesn’t freak out.”
Jack’s burst of laughter caught Sully and Ash’s attention and they both gave them dirty looks.
“Doesn’t freak out?” Jack shook his head and pulled Zero closer, planting a kiss on his cheek. “Jet always freaks out. I was barely there for the start of their relationship and even I knew Jet was freaking the fuck out.”
“I’ve never seen him freak out,” he said, brows drawn together.
Jack nodded toward Walker and said, “I think you’re about to.”
Walker grabbed Jet’s hand, then dropped to one knee and pulled out a small, red velvet box. Jet was frowning down at him hard, looking adorably confused.
“What are you…?”
“Jet,” Walker started, his smile getting bigger. “I love you more than anything in this world. I want to spend every day of my life with you. I want everyone to know that you’re mine and I’m yours.”
“Don’t they?” Jet asked, still looking way too confused.
Walker chuckled and shook his head. “I love you so god damned much.”
Jet’s gaze finally landed on the ring box and his mouth dropped open.
“I love you, too,” Jet croaked out.
