I gestured them inside. “What are you guys doing here?”

Knox raised his eyebrows, grinning. “We were shown an apartment that just opened up in your building. Corner unit, lots of light.” He stepped inside, pulling Summer along with him. “Summer’s place has been getting a bit tight for the two of us, and the neighborhood isn’t what it used to be. I can’t believe I left her there alone while we were on tour.”

Summer patted his shoulder. “How did I manage to survive for so long without you?”

“This building is so expensive, though,” he added, frowning slightly.

“Christ, man, you can afford it,” I needled him, enjoying the light-hearted banter.

Knox rolled his eyes, but a smile still played at the corners of his mouth.

“Anyway, we brought breakfast,” Summer announced, holding up some bags of food triumphantly. A growl erupted from my stomach as the scent of bacon and eggs wafted through the air. She grinned knowingly. “Knox said you wouldn’t have gone shopping yet after the tour.”

“Guilty as charged,” I admitted, rubbing the back of my neck sheepishly. “I guess Knox wins the bet.”

Knox raised his eyebrows in a suggestive manner. “I’ll be collecting my winnings later. For now, I’m hungry.” He dug his hand into a bag and pulled out a muffin.

Summer shook her head at Knox and then looked at me. “We’ve got bacon and eggs, tons of pancakes, bagels, and muffins. Hopefully, you have coffee.”

I liked Summer, especially after getting to know her better on tour, but it was only after connecting with Remi and Greyson that I could appreciate just how good she was for Knox.

“Grey is not going to like all these carbs,” I predicted.

Knox choked on his muffin. “Grey?”

As if saying his name conjured him from thin air, Greyson walked into the room, drawing my gaze away from Knox and Summer. He was wearing my clothes, which hugged his sculpted body like a second skin. His damp hair clung to his forehead, accentuating the sharp lines of his chiseled jaw. My heart hammered against my chest as desire surged through me.

Summer’s eyes widened, her lips parting as she took in the sight of Greyson. Knox raised an eyebrow, a knowing smirk playing on his lips. “Grey, do you remember my girlfriend, Summer? You met her at Talia’s baby shower?”

Greyson flashed a charming grin, nodding at Summer, who seemed to have forgotten how to breathe. The tension in the room thickened, and I couldn’t help but feel a pang of jealousy at the attention Greyson garnered.

The moment was interrupted by Remi’s entrance. She wore my clothes too, but they hung loosely on her slender frame. Confusion flickered across Knox and Summer’s faces, making the atmosphere even more awkward.

Remi stopped in her tracks, taking in the scene.

Summer raised the bags in her hands again. “We brought breakfast.”

“Terrific! I’m starved.” Remi glanced over at me as if asking for help. “Summer, come help me make coffee in the kitchen?” She gestured towards the doorway with a slight tilt of her head.

As Summer hesitated, I caught Greyson’s eye and gave him a pointed look. “Grab me a shirt, will you?” I needed a moment alone with Knox.

Greyson nodded, disappearing down the hallway. The women left for the kitchen, leaving Knox staring at me in bewilderment.

“Is this what I think it is?” he asked.

I moved closer to him, not wanting anyone to overhear our conversation. “Yes.”

“Oh. Okay.” He stared into the distance with his brow furrowed and ran a hand through his hair.

Knox’s eyes flashed with curiosity, his breath warm on my face as he leaned in. “Mate, what do I think this is?”

Laughter bubbled up within me, a strange mix of relief and amusement. “You know, Knox,” I said, feeling the weight of my own vulnerability in admitting it, “Remi, Greyson, and I ... we’re together.”

Knox’s eyebrows shot up just as Greyson walked back in, his eyes darting between Knox and me. He took in how close we were standing to each other, and jealousy sparked in his eyes. As subtle as a bull in a china shop, he stepped between us, using the excuse of handing me a T-shirt to create distance.

“Easy there, Grey,” I smirked, noticing his possessiveness. “Knox and I have been friends for years. Hell, he’s seen me naked before. The tour bus was like a sardine can on wheels; there were no secrets there.” My heart raced, questioning if I should share more. “In fact, I’m pretty sure back in the day, Knox and I ...” I trailed off suggestively, a wicked grin on my lips.

“Ugh! Rock stars!” Summer interrupted, having just returned to the room. She covered her ears, wrinkling her nose. “I don’t want to know!”
