The little lights led them through a doorway into a luxurious suite of rooms overlooking the ocean. The massive sitting room seemed to have several rooms coming off it.

“Head downstairs when you’re ready,” Oberon told them. “And let me know if there is anything about the suits that is not to your liking.”

“Wow,” Chloe said, looking down at a dressing table where a suit that looked like it was made from three tiny handkerchiefs and a couple of pieces of string awaited her.

“I have no issues with that suit,” Jubal told her as he walked past, heading to a pair of snug black trunks on another table.

“Trade you?” she offered with a wry smile, holding up the tiny handful of string.

“We could always just skip the suits altogether,” he laughed.

She felt her cheeks get hot, and darted off into one of the rooms that flowed off the main sitting room, grateful that at least she didn’t have to change in front of him.

She removed her own clothing and folded it neatly, then tried to figure out how to put on the bikini by herself.

After a few minutes of tying, tugging, and checking in the mirror to be sure all her most private parts were still covered, she finally ventured out to the sitting room again.

Jubal stood by the window with his back to her. His trunks clung to his body, showing off a muscular behind. The rest of him was fully exposed. She feasted on the sight of his velvety red muscles, inky black hair, and ridged horns.

I’m going to try to have a baby with him. Tonight.

A shiver went through her.

He turned at that moment, and his face went soft with wonder.

Chloe held perfectly still and watched his eyes move up and down her body. Gooseflesh raised on her arms, and her nipples pebbled under his hot gaze.

She had never been particularly shy about her body. She was healthy and strong. If she maybe had a little more going on around her hips, and less in her breasts than she could have wished for, she tried not to dwell on it.

But the way Jubal was looking at her made her feel like some sort of goddess.

“We should get downstairs,” he said, his voice softer than usual. “If you want to eat first, then we need to get downstairs now.”

She skittered out the door and headed down without waiting for him.

Her belly tightened in an unfamiliar way, and she felt like tiny bubbles of anticipation were trying to escape her chest.

JUBAL

Jubal took in the scene at the pool and nodded with satisfaction.

Although he didn’t have a reputation as a diva or anything on tour, most venues still went out of their way to impress him with incredible food and drink.

But what the Center had created here was on another level.

Low tables around the pool offered silver trays of delicacies. Terran foods like sushi and steak could be found among more standard intergalactic fare, so Chloe should feel comfortable even if her palate was not sophisticated.

Fountains of champagne and chocolate flowed, and a mountain of fruit glistened in a crystal bowl. There was even an urn of fragrant coffee.

Helper bots waited in the wings in low power mode, prepared to answer questions or clean up spills as needed.

The sound of a live orchestra playing somewhere in the distance floated to them subtly on the breeze and he actually wondered for a second where the outdoor concert was before remembering that there was no concert, Oberon had determined that they might like the sound of an outdoor concert from a distance.

He glanced over at Chloe, and couldn’t help smiling.

She stood on the last step down to the pool area, a soft look of wonder on her pretty face as she took in the scene below.
