“We heard Zirc is on his way to the Elders to bring the relic,” the innkeeper said.

Zirc was not on his way to rescue me then. For a moment, I panicked. The innkeeper noticed my worry. He looked at me. “Do not worry. We also heard Roqs and Coone are on his way to the Purple Tribe. The Red Guard will know. The Captain is correct. It is known that Zirc and Roqs are very close to the heir of the Purple Tribe. No one will be surprised if he extends his protection to them.”

The way he said close meant Zirc and Roqs have a physical relationship with this heir. I wondered how Coone feels about it.

A sudden thought popped up. Of course! I should not be surprised if Coone is also close to this heir.

Someone snorted. The innkeeper’s nephew. “You meanheirs.”

There was general laughter all around.

One of CG’s (the Captain’s) crew member shouted. “They are not twins! I’m telling you all!”

“Hey, I am from the Purple Tribe,” another said. “No one blasphemes our royalty.”

“Tell that to that Da who saw them fucking each other in the lakes,” someone piped up. He has silver and blue stripes.

I was shocked when some manasties who were definitely from the Purple Tribe ganged up on him to rough him up.

“Oh,” CG said. “One important thing to survive here on the Purple Tribe, do not, at any cost, say anything negative about the Purple Royalty. You will be taken to the dungeons or worse, have your tail or head cut off.”

I shivered. There was tension in his voice. A warning. Yet, I can also see desperation on their faces.

Nodding, I stepped away from the melee. “Are they going to be fine?”

CG snorted. “Don’t mind them. Mind yourself, lad. The Purple Tribe might be the richest tribe on this planet, but they are the most vicious.”

With that opening, he urged Scarface to take me. I turned and said my goodbye to the old man, Onork they called him. And the hiscat who looked much better. These crystals of theirs were really powerful. Silently, the old man shook my hand. He just gave me a crystal. I tried to give it back to him, our hands still closed, but he pushed back. He wanted me to take it. Thinking I might need it, I shrugged and placed it inside my pants’ pocket, after taking a quick peep that it was a clear crystal. I nodded to him respectfully and walked out.

CHAPTER6

Clear Crystal

Scarface was waiting for me near the exit. Without waiting for me, he turned and left. I followed him at a sedate pace. Outside, he looked much bigger. With the suns so high, I can see every outline of his broad back. Muscles upon muscles including the back of his thighs. What drew me though was his tail. His body was covered with too much clothing. He even wore gloves. His tail though, is a surprising green color that reminded me so much of the evergreen forest. It quivered from tail bone to the ends which puffed slightly at the end. His tail end, when it flared, almost looked like long and downy soft feathers, instead of fur.

Fascinating.

Those feathers reminded me of birds back home. Not to mention fried chicken.

I stopped the sob that was trying to escape me. Not the time to dwell on things that are out of my reach. For now, my immediate mission is to reach any of the males I knew who will bring me back to Crix, Jigen and Volks. They might find a way to bring me back to Earth.

And maybe, just because I’m feeling optimistic, I will find a way to introduce them, Zirc, Roqs and Coone to my family. I snickered. What’s the best way to introduce aliens to your family 101? Maybe there’s a video about it.

Oops.

I caught myself when I bumped into the Scarface. It was like walking into a wall. Even Zirc’s body wasn’t that hard. I looked up and scowled at him. Why is he glaring at me?

“What’s so funny?” he grumbled.

I tried not to snort. I did. But he looked so damn serious! Then I was laughing. You know when they say his face got dark? His did.

“Sorry, sorry,” I said while holding my middle. I raised my right hand as some sort of peace offering. “I was thinking about my parents.”

He scowled.

Oh.
