We boarded the ship. The same pilot announced, “We have an hour to clear the Central’s air space.” He ran diagnostic tests on all of us to make sure we weren’t wired or anything.

“Wait,” Clitasoxdfwe’h held up a hand. There were only 6 of us left on the entrance. Me, Brynn, Coone, Sim, Nim and Xy.

“Now what?” Nim grumbled. He still held a barely conscious Xy on his arms. That way, the rest of the red guards could effectively guard them.

“I’m registering seven of you right now,” he was looking intently at the device on his palm.

“Maybe it’s defective?” Sim suggested.

“We have Xy with us,” Coone said.

“Xy was already accounted for,” Clitasoxdfwe’h retort.

“Did you count yourself?” Coone countered, irritated. He was cranky, same as I. I was leaving my mate behind.

Fuck.

“There’s clearly seven of you. Wait, let me locate it.” Clitasoxdfwe’h pushed a button and started to scan us. “Strange, the seventh being’s composition was very small. Half manasty, and,” he clicked on the palm device harder. “Half manasty and half unidentified specie. The fuck?”

“A half breed?” Coone snorted. He wasn’t impressed.

Sim shouted, “Who the fuck would breed with an unidentified specie?”

We all looked at Sim and Nim. Before Zirc, they mated with any known specie in the galaxy. Sim had the decency to blush when he realized what he just said.

Then Brynn gasped. We all looked at her, except for Clitasoxdfwe’h who was looking at his palm device.

Then we stared in silence.

A red dot beamed towards her navel.

“Found it!” Clitasoxdfwe’h shouted excitedly.

Coone and Sim gasped at the same time they realized what just happened. Then the two fainted. No one was fast enough to catch them. They would live though.

“He’s pregnant?” Clitasoxdfwe’h asked, perplexed.

Oh shit.

CHAPTER19

What now?

Zirc

LATER THAT DAY ….

Drixan removed the metal around my mouth. Not a good sign. Instead of teasing me, he looked dead serious. Like a proper Elder guard. Another not good sign. I did not had to wait that long.

The door to this secret room burst open. The Purple Tribe alphas marched in. If I were a lesser manasty, I would find it hard to breathe in the alpha’s strength and anger. Too much anger. Not surprising seeing the cuts and bruises on their face.

“Where is Roqs?” Alpha Vaj demanded. He placed his arms in front of the table opposite me. His eyes were livid. His muscles bulged, most likely from restraining himself to attack me.

“He dared to kill my son!” Alpha Jeyjay roared beside his mate.

I snorted. “There must be some mistake. No way will Roqs do that!”

Before the two alphas could sprout more nonsense, Axad walked into the room. Finally, someone who could put a stop to this nonsense. However, that wasn’t what happened.
