“Make love to me, Garrett,” I demand, moaning when he sinks into me.

Gripping his hands, I force myself up. His knees come up behind me, and I lean back as he grips my waist to move me, meeting my thrust with one of his own.

“God.” I lean my head back, closing my eyes as the familiar sensation of my orgasm builds.

On the next meeting of our hips, he shifts, and his pelvic bone rubs against my clit. Stars burst behind my eyes. He pinches his fingers, twisting my nipple while he uses another finger to circle my clit, his thrusts shallowing.

“Garrett,” I whimper, the orgasm moving in an arc from my toes to my core, balancing on the edge.

Two years later, and the heat between us never fails to drive me crazy.

He sits up quickly, his mouth claiming mine. One calloused hand finds my hip, while the index finger of the other continues its orbit of my clit. A moan catches in my throat, captured by his mouth as his thumb brushes the bundle of nerves. The light pinch of his finger and thumb connecting is all it takes to catapult me into the fireworks exploding behind my eyelids.

His hips piston until he freezes, pulsing inside me as his moan moves from his mouth to mine.

Relaxing his legs first, he drops back against the pillows and tugs me with him. I squirm as his hands run patterns along my back, tickling my sides as they continue the sweeping motion. My ear rests against his heart, my heart slowing to match his rhythm.

“Don’t think I didn’t notice you distracted me,” he tells me, amusement clear in his voice.

My cheeks curve. “I didn’t.”

“You did,” he argues.

“You distracted me first,” I tease, running my fingers along his ribs.

“The best kind,” he rumbles, and I laugh.

“You also distracted me yesterday.”

“I thought it would help with the nerves.”

I lean up, resting my chin on his chest to meet his bright eyes.

“I was nervous,” I admit.

“I know you were, baby.” He smiles at me, and I fall a little deeper in love with him. “Even though you had nothing to be worried about.”

“Says you,” I retort.

But nerves still flutter in my belly.

“Says that statue downstairs in our living room. Now, stop distracting me. I thought you were leaving next month to start filming. Georgia, right?”

“Filming will be in Georgia,” I respond vaguely. “You seem to remember a lot more about my next assignment than I do. Trying to get rid of me?”

His arms tighten around me. “If I had my way, you’d never make it farther than right here. What happened to the filming?”

“It got postponed.”

“Why?”

“I got offered another role, and they agreed to wait.”

“You’re crushing it. Which role did you hear about? The next one with Fiona?”

Fiona had softened toward me, and we’d been talking about my next opportunity to work with her and Cole again.

“I haven’t heard about that one yet,” I say hesitantly.
