“You realize we love you more than life.” Cain kisses my shoulder as he rubs my protruding belly, the twins I’m carrying somersaulting after all the activity of this morning.

“More than anything.” Abel cups my cheek and nuzzles me as he wraps an arm across my shoulders, holding me close.

When we arrived in Greece, I was surprised they had a plan. A house built overlooking the sea, that was something out of my vision board. They’d purchased a rental shop for tourists and residents, and for the past few years, we’ve been renting out bikes, mopeds, scooters, and so many other items. One of our most popular is the picnic baskets I put together. Good food, delicious wine, and the directions to a spot no tourist has ever found on their own for the perfect romantic evening near the sea, with the sun setting or rising in the background.

We have a wonderful life here, one I never dreamed of. All because these men became obsessed with me from the start and couldn’t imagine a life without my presence in it. I couldn’t be happier, and as a contraction hits deep in my belly, I know they couldn’t be either.

“It’s time,” I whisper, and suddenly, the bet is forgotten as the doctor is called, and we prepare for the next chapter of our lives.

The End for now…

One Night Only

KYRA LENNON

Chapter One

SHANNEN

“What are you looking at?” my friend CeCe asked, following my gaze across the busy pub.

I hadn’t realised I’d been so distracted until she pointed it out.

After a long week at work, she had told me in no uncertain terms that my unsociable arse needed an evening out. Not that I was unsociable. It was more that I was still getting used to life in a relatively new job, and a small part of me worried that if I was seen out on the town, it might somehow reflect badly on me. I’d refused almost all of CeCe’s invitations to go out for that reason, but she’d finally worn me down.

Relax. You’re having a quiet drink with a colleague, not performing lap dances in a nightclub.

“That man at the bar,” I said, pulling myself back to the moment and nodding towards a tall, well-built man with short honey-blonde hair. He wore black jeans with a belt and a crisp, tucked-in white shirt. “Oh!” I thudded my wine glass down on my beer mat in victory. “I know who he is. He’s Aiden Lewis’s dad.”

CeCe flicked her head around to me so fast I was surprised she didn’t get whiplash. Her black, tightly-coiled hair whipped around her face. “No way.”

Aiden Lewis was the troublemaker of my class. Well, troublemaker might have been a bit harsh, but he was definitely one of the more disruptive kids, and the one who got told off the most.

“Not that I’m judging, but he doesn’t look like someone who could have spawned a nightmare child like Aiden,” CeCe said. “Also, Mr Lewis is really hot.” She turned back for another glimpse, smirking, and I was almost positive her gaze landed momentarily on his ass.

“CeCe! He’s married. Or at least attached.” Aiden’s mum picked him up the most often, so there was no chance he was single, unless she was the nanny or the babysitter or some other relative.

“They always are.”

CeCe’s struggles to find the right man were bordering on legendary in the staff room. She had no issue attracting guys. Her problem was finding one who wasn’t concealing some kind of bizarre quirk. Amongst her horror stories were a guy with a Michael Jackson obsession who could only get in the mood if he was listening to MJ’s music, and a man who thought it was okay to decorate his bedroom walls with printed-out photos of young women in very revealing cosplay outfits.

As I took a sip of my drink, CeCe said, “So, what are the chances of me dragging you to a club later?”

A small sigh left my lips. “I’m not really a club person, you know that. All those sweaty people squashed up together in a tight space.” I shuddered at the thought.
