I fly over the edge and come so hard, I see stars. Damn, he’s so deliciously warm, and his cum tingles inside me. It’s wonderful.

I grip his shoulder, my eye catching the beautiful diamond he put on my finger for all to see. He tattooed his commitment to me. Ink he can never take off. Not without a medical procedure and a bruised ego for getting something so wrong.

Happiness fills my heart, but can what we have last?

CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE

Lachlan

“Howlonghaveyoubeen sitting on these hits?” I ask Griffin in Balor’s downtown command center as we go through security footage of two losers who should be six feet under.

I passed my five-day test, even though my stitches sting and itch like crazy. Too bad. I’ll tough it out.

Griffin runs a hand through his hair. “With Ewan on the city council now and Connor working for Riordan, we haven’t really found someone we trust to take these guys out without it getting back to us.”

“We’re not the only ones with cameras,” Balor says, swiveling in his gamer’s chair.

After a moment of quiet, Griffin adds, “Priscilla is only comfortable castrating rapists.”

“You’re okay with these pricks walking around after stealing from us, G?”

“I didn’t say that.”

My arm throbs, bloodlust kicking up inside me. “I’ll do it.”

“Whoa!” Balor jumps from the seat. “Kieran won’t like it if you do more damage to your arm.”

“I’ll deal with him. Griffin, let’s go.” I check my gun and realize I need to swap it out for a ghost gun from our armory. Balor’s been making them, perfecting the technology. “Balor…” I strut up to him and squeeze his shoulder. “Good work.”

Without waiting for a response, I push through the double doors and stride down the long dark hallway with Griffin on my six. “Do we know where these guys are now?”

“Now? You want to just find them and fill them with lead during the day?”

I stop and glare at him.

Griffin exhales and gets on his phone. “Pris, I’m sending you two photos and addresses. Get these guys to the black site.” He laughs to himself, putting his phone away.

“Something funny?”

“Your sister-in-law is a badass.”

Protectiveness howls inside me. “She’s pregnant. I suggest you find someone who can replace her for these takedowns. I won’t risk my brother’s wee one.”

She’s worked out better than we could have imagined, since most eejits don’t suspect a beautiful woman can be as deadly as she is. Will Riordan make her quit after she has his kid? And will they have more?

Griffin blinks in the burning sun when we get on the street. “How’s Katya? Plan on having wee ones with her?”

My lips twitch, thinking of how I’ve been fucking her without a condom. “Not sure.”

“Really? She doesn’t want kids?”

“We haven’t talked about it,” I lie, stroking the center of my chest. Changing the subject, I say to Griffin, “What do you think happened to Stasia?” I twist to face him in the car while we wait for Priscilla to call us back.

“That’s out of left field.”

“Katya got a few postcards from her.”

“Really?” He sounds surprised. “From her, not a kidnapper?”
