I use my arms to push myself closer to him.

“Now that we’ve made the mark, would you like to celebrate ourselves in a different way?”

I see what I’m sure is a smile growing across his face. “What did you have in mind?”

“You told me that we’d fuck in the water sometime,” I remind him. “Can you think of a better time?”

The tentacles tighten around my shoulders. “No,” he says. “I can’t.”

I stroke the bottom of his head and pull him against me. Immediately, his tentacles surround me.

My chest still hurts, but it doesn’t matter, because I’m focused entirely on the sensation of tentacles and suckers all over my body. I feel his body pulse in and out in rhythm with my fingers moving over him. This is perfect. I love it, and I love him.

I take one of his tentacles between my legs and squeeze it. In return, he presses his suckers directly against my cunt, and it’s delightful.

It doesn’t feel complicated to touch him this time. I’m not fighting with anger and a hundred different emotions now. I don’t have to fight any of my emotions, because I feel totally safe with him. Safe to be myself and safe to explore the strange world that he’s brought me to.

“You’re graceful in the water,” he tells me. “You’d almost think that you were made for it.”

He’s right. The water is so full of movement and complexity, but at the same time, it’s simple. It presses against you from all sides, and it pushes back whenever you press against it. I understand that, and I love it. It feels good to cut through the water and to lean back into it.

A small, dark thing with beautiful long rainbow fins swims by us. I follow it with my eyes, even as I continue to touch Laiken.

“You love this world, don’t you?” he asks.

“I never knew that anything like it existed,” I answer. “I want to know everything about it.”

He laughs. “I still can’t say I know that much, and I’ve lived here all my life.”

“That’s okay. Always having more to learn sounds even better.”

I start to stroke his cock. As I do, other small creatures of the sea drift by us, all living their own strange lives. I love all of them, and I love Laiken.

His tentacle wraps around my breast and squeezes tight. I lean back, and a bubble of air leaves my mouth. I watch as it drifts slowly up towards the sun far above us.

“I’d gotten used to seeing some of these things,” Laiken says. “Seeing them with you is like getting to see them for the first time. It reminds me just how wonderful all of them are.”

“I want to see everything you’ve gotten used to,” I tell him and pull one of his arms on top of my other breast. Immediately, his sucker pulls my nipple tight.

“Someday, I want you to show me the land,” he says.

“Someday, I will.”

Then he pulls my legs apart with his tentacles and presses into me.

I can’t moan the way I would on land, but my body tenses, and the gills on my neck flap quickly up and down. I wonder how well the creatures swimming around us understand what’s going on. They must understand. After all, what’s simpler than two creatures loving each other?

Another thing goes by. This one is like a translucent ball of some soft, bluish substance, with thin tentacles reaching. As it approaches, Laiken pulls me out of its reach, which means it must be poisonous. Still, it’s absolutely mesmerizing to watch.

“I never knew how much I wanted someone to share this with,” he says. I’m able to almost cut him off by touching him between the arms as he’s speaking.

“I never knew I deserved to have so much shared with me.”

I twist around, and suddenly, the two of us are spinning in the water. One second, the sun is below us, The next, it is above. Dirt and stones spin in the water with us. Laiken laughs with me.

“Oh, you just made a big mistake,” he says as we begin to slow down. He reaches down with one of his tentacles and grabs a hard, red creature. Suddenly, we’re spinning again, only this time twice as fast. Even after we slow down, it takes me a second to regain my bearings.

“Can we do that one more time?” I ask.
