Maybe the fool had always been the hero.

There once was a court jester,

Whose heart was light and gay,

He made the kingdom laugh and smile,

With every trick and play.

But as hedanced and sang one day,

He saw the Prince of Love,

And in an instant, his heart did stop,

As though touched by Dallin above.

For though thejester played his part,

And kept the court in mirth,

His heart was captured by the prince,

Who ruled all hearts on earth.

He dreamedof holding hands with him,

And sharing breathless sparks,

Of feeling love’s sweet caress,

And soaring with the larks.

But how could sucha thing be real,

When he was just a clown,

And the prince, so regal and refined,

Was higher in renown?

He triedto hide his love away,

And keep it locked inside,

But every time he saw the prince,

His heartbeats did collide.

And then one day,the prince came close,

And whispered in his ear,

“My treasured jester, you are my heart,
