I smile at her, feeling grateful for her support. She's been my rock through this whole ordeal, and I couldn't have asked for a better manager.

As the night wears on, the crowd continues to dance and sing along to the music. The energy in the room is electric, and I can feel the raw power of the music pulsing through me.

But then, just as I'm about to launch into another song, I hear a strange noise coming from the back of the room. At first, I think it's just someone dropping a glass, but then I hear it again.

It’s loud and piercing enough to cut through my monitors and the music, so it’s distracting. I keep playing my song, but the noise is getting louder and my band is starting to look over their shoulders, too. Luckily, the crowd doesn’t seem to have noticed yet.

I look to Londyn for guidance, but she’s already on it. She nods at the security guard standing by the door and he makes his way toward the back of the stage.

I’m feeling a sense of unease as I keep looking back. I’m trying to be in the moment, but it’s hard to focus on performing when I don’t know what the fuck that was and even Londyn seems concerned.

From the corner of my eye, I see the security guard emerge from the back, dragging a man with him. He’s struggling, his face twisted in anger. I can’t hear what he’s saying, but the look in his eyes as he meets my gaze makes my blood run cold.

And then the guard pushes him off stage, manhandling him until he wrestles him toward one of the exits in the back.

I know of disgruntled fans, but I don't know how this one managed to penetrate the tight security Londyn normally runs. Plus, there was something about his eyes...

It was really disturbing.

But even when the security guard whispers something in Londyn's ear, she doesn't stop the show.

The show ends, eventually, and the crowd doesn’t seem to notice the weird fan encounter. I thank them for coming, but my mind is still racing with questions about what just happened. I make my way off stage and Londyn is there, looking concerned.

"Are you okay?" she asks, her voice low.

"I don't know," I reply honestly. "What was that noise? Who was that guy?"

Londyn's expression darkens. "I don't know," she says, her voice low. "But I'll find out."

We make our way back to the dressing room, the tension thick in the air. Once we're inside, Londyn turns to me, her expression serious.

"Javi, we need to talk," she says. "About the divorce."

I feel a lump form in my throat at the mention of it. I'd been trying to forget about it, to focus on the music, but it seems like it's always there, lurking in the background.

"What about it?" I ask, my voice low.

"You need to be careful," Londyn says. "The press is watching you, waiting for any slip-up they can use against you. And with the divorce still fresh in everyone's minds, it's important that you don't give them any ammunition."

I nod, feeling a sense of dread wash over me. I know she's right. The last thing I need is to give the press any more reason to drag me through the mud.

"You think the fan was Vanessa's doing?"

Londyn shrugs. "I mean, look, I wouldn't put anything past your ex-wife," she says softly. "I'm thinking maybe you need to have a press conference soon."

"About what? My divorce? Nobody does that, Londyn."

"I know, but you might have to," she says. "Everyone loved you guys together so much. If you don’t get a handle on it now, this could be the thing that destroys your reputation forever."

I shake my head, my forehead brimming with sweat. “I’m a musician,” I say. “Nobody is here for my relationship.”

“Well, I’m your manager,” she says bluntly, crossing her arms over her chest. “And I know for a fact that you’re wrong.”

I sigh heavily, running a hand through my hair. She's right. I know she is. But I just can't bring myself to face the press and all their questions about my personal life.

"Fine," I say finally. "I'll do it. But can we wait until after the tour?"

Londyn nods, a look of relief crossing her face. "Yes. If we have to," she says. "But in the meantime, be careful. Keep your head down and stay out of trouble. No relationships. No more saving people from elevators. You’re here for the music and the music only. Got it?"
