“Yes,” Uncle Dean whispers.

Dad turns to look at Coleman. He’s wearing an expression of complete and total disgust and anger on his face. The disgust fades, and eventually, there is only anger.

“What do you want to do with him, Coleman? He disrespected you. He was the one who was pushing the marriage to Shiloh. Pushing a marriage between first cousins. I don’t know who he thinks we are… who you are.”

“I’m not that,” Coleman growls. “I am the family, and the family is me. What I do not do is marry family. Nobody does. We are given women as a prize. I don’t know what you thought was going to happen, but you disrespected me, the family, and your director.”

Uncle Dean’s sons don’t say a single word, but when I glance over at them, it’s clear they do not think their father has done the right thing. In fact, they appear to be as disgusted as we are at the whole situation.

They have also no doubt done the math and realize that Shiloh was born between them, so it’s clear he cheated on their mother, and when it comes to men of the family, they no doubt love and respect their mothers… always.

The women whom the men marry may be their prize, but they are treasures to their children. What they aren’t are women to be cheated on in any way that results in a child, nor hiding said child for twenty years, and then doing whatever the fuck Dean thought he was going to do. I’m not sure what he had in mind for the end result, but I’m pretty sure death wasn’t it. Although he brought it all on himself.

“What happens now?” the woman asks, speaking for the first time since being brought into this room. “I did what was asked of me. I married the man he brought to me. I did what I was supposed to do.”

Biting the inside of my cheek, I try not to smile because it’s clear that all of this was done by Dean, who thought he was going to get away with it for life. He would have, too, had he not said anything or pushed the marriage. Without another word, Dad reaches into his shoulder holster and takes out his gun.

He holds the gun close to Dean’s forehead and pulls the trigger. None of the men even jump, not even Dean’s children. This isn’t a surprise. It’s expected. Dean should have known that admitting to me what he did was as good as a death sentence. I’m not sure why he would think I would betray my father or my family. My oath prevents me from doing that, no matter who asks.

Dad lifts his chin to me, his eyes finding mine. “Kill the girl,” he orders.

That’s when the woman becomes hysterical. I don’t even know her name. She starts to scream bloody fucking murder. Coleman takes a step toward her, his knife unsheathed from his hip and slices her neck. Blood sprays out all over the place, and then he jerks his chin to me, the bitch’s blood all over his body.

“Shiloh is done. They cease to exist to me, all of them,” Coleman growls.

Jerking my chin, I walk over to Hendrick and stop in front of him. “The girl, and then after the deal closes, the father.”

“He won’t cancel?” he asks on a whisper so low that nobody else can hear him.

“He could, but he won’t. He knows what the fuck is going to happen if he does.”

“Would he care? He’d be dead.”

I laugh softly. “True. However, I don’t think he loved his family more than money. His business dealings tell the truth about him, whether he admits it or not. Plus, I’ve met him. That man is weak as fuck.”

“Then let’s do this,” Hendrick murmurs.

We leave the club together, letting them clean that mess up, and head out to make one of our own. “Do you know where to find her?” Hendrick asks as we approach his car. I decide to leave mine at the club. He can be my chauffeur for the night.

“I do,” I murmur as I pull my phone out of my pocket. “One of those nights that Shiloh came to Coleman’s door begging him for sex, he took her phone and shared her location with my work phone. So, when we end her, we need to make sure we take her phone and dump it.”

“Always,” Hendrick murmurs.

I give him the area where the phone says Shiloh is located. I’m not surprised to see she’s not home but instead dancing at a club. “Fuck,” I hiss. There is no way I’ll be able to get this done and get back to Parker in a reasonable time.

This just turned into a stakeout. Mainly because as easy as it would be to just walk into the club and seduce this bitch, our first cousin, and take her out of the club between me and Hendrick, that leaves far too many witnesses.

“So we just have to watch and wait for her to come out,” he murmurs.

“We do. I want to catch her and finish this before she goes home to her father.”

That’s the hardest part about someone who still lives at home with their family or with roommates. They always have someone there to witness something like this. Then you have to kill them all, and it just makes a bigger mess to attempt to cover up.

So we’ll wait.

As we watch the door of the club, I clear my throat and ask Hendrick something I’ve been meaning to ask him. “You still fucking that Allison girl?” I ask.

He chuckles, shifting in the driver’s seat of his car before he speaks. “Yeah, she’s fun.” I snort.Funbeing the operative word. I know exactly what he means. “What about you?” he asks. “You get her friend you were being a total fucking creep about?”
