“Sorry I’m late,” a French accent said drawing our attention. “It was hard finding parking that didn’t include me being murdered,” he joked with a smile.

My fashionable cousin stepped in and looked around. “Ah, Americans”, he said, immediately dismissing our motley crew.

“Who the hell is this?” Cali growled instantly hating everything about him.

I smirked. “The greatest game master you’ll ever meet.”

Lucien raised an eyebrow. “What is this, “game master?””

“Lucien, I would like you to meet Jimmy. He works with the FBI.”

A flash of realization shot across my cousin’s face. “Ah! Game master, like, how do you say, video games? Yes. Of course,” he said shaking Jimmy’s hand.

Jimmy looked at us unimpressed by our subterfuge. “Should we get on with this?”

“Yes, we should,” Lucien said parking himself next to me. “What is it we are here to do, again?”

Jimmy looked at me annoyed. “He doesn’t know?”

“Of course, he doesn’t,” Cali said returning to pacing even more tensely.

“He knows!” I clarified. “But, I’ll say it again so we’re all on the same page. We’re here to steal books from Armand.”

“Books?” Lucien asked confused.

“Accounting ledgers,” Jimmy added. “An FBI source tells us that he keeps two sets of financial records. One is accurate. The other is for the IRS. If we can get a hold of both, we can put him away for tax evasion.”

Hil chuckled. “After everything he’s done, he’s going to go down for tax evasion?”

“Unless you can find us a list of everyone he’s killed and the murder weapons he’s used, tax evasion is the only thing we’ve got,” Jimmy told Hil.

“Then tax evasion it is,” I said with a smile. “But, the problem is that we don’t know where he keeps the ledgers.”

“Actually, we know where he keeps them,” Jimmy said correcting me. “They’re in the safe of wherever he is. He’s never away from them for longer than eight hours.”

“Which helps us,” I realized.

“If you consider them always being protected by armed guards helping us,” Jimmy clarified.

“I remember them,” Cali said subconsciously reaching for his bullet wound.

“We all do,” Hil added.

Jimmy looked around confused.

“We’ve all had run-ins with Armand before,” I told Jimmy.

“I see. And now you’re marrying his daughter?”

“Not if I can help it,” I told him taking Dillon’s hand.

Jimmy’s eyes darted to our interlocked fingers before bouncing back to my eyes in realization. Lucien’s eyes did the same.

“I get it,” Jimmy told Dillon as if he were putting things together.

“Yeah,” Dillon confirmed.

“Okay then. What do we do?” Jimmy asked all of us.
