By the time we arrived at an incredible stone building and pulled into an underground parking lot, the sun had started to rise. Taking an elevator to an apartment with a twelve-foot ceiling, wall-sized windows, and a tree-lined balcony that could seat 20 people, we entered.

“There it is!” Remy said, drawing my attention to the candy bar on the coffee table. The table was between the two largest chaise sectionals I had ever seen.

Retrieving it, Remy showed me the red wrapping.

“It’s called a Côte d’Or. Would you like a bite?” he asked devilishly.

“I mean, we’ve come all this way,” I said with a smile.

Remy unwrapped it and broke off a piece of the chocolate.

“Close your eyes,” he said, approaching me.

I did.

“Now open your mouth. I just want you to focus on the smell and flavor. Nothing else.”

As he lifted it to my lips, the chocolate was the last thing I focused on. Instead, I lost myself in the feeling of Remy’s warm breath on my skin, and the scent of his faint cologne filling my nostrils. The anticipation it created drove me wild.

When the chocolate touched my tongue, its rich, velvety smoothness melted. The burst of flavors danced in my mouth with the perfect balance of sweet and bitter. It was a symphony of sensations.

“Wow,” I whispered, my eyes still closed.

“You like it?” Remy asked softly.

“It’s amazing.”

“You can open your eyes.”

As I did, I found Remy staring at me simmering with desire. The intensity of his gaze sent shivers down my spine. I could do nothing but stare.

“We can head back now if you’d like.”

“To New York?” I asked, amused.

“If you want.”

“I mean, we’re here. It would be a shame to not check out a little of Paris.”

“It would be my pleasure to show you around,” he said with a rumble in his voice that shook me to my core.

“I would like that,” I told him, unable to resist any request he made.

“I’ll show you to your room. You should rest up. There’s a lot to see.”

Entering a door in the middle of the hallway, I stepped into an elegant bedroom with floor-to-ceiling windows and soft lighting that cast a warm glow across the room.

“And where will you be?” I asked, hoping he would say here.

“My room is at the end,” he said, leaving me breathless. “You’ll find a change of clothes in the closet. You should have everything you need.”

“And if I need you?” I asked, staring into his sultry eyes.

“You know where to find me,” he said, making me melt as he walked away.

I was ready to explode watching him go. I never wanted anyone more. A part of me wanted to chase him down the hall and mount him like a stallion. Would he have stopped me? Could I stop myself?

Luckily, I didn’t have to find out. Disappearing into his room, he closed the door. It was enough to snap the hold he had over me. When it was gone, I retreated to my room.
