“I love you too, Remy,” I confessed.

With that, Remy slipped his hand behind my neck and pulled me to him. Pleasure washed over me like a waterfall. His familiar lips were home. Feeling their warmth as he opened my mouth, I lost myself. And when his tongue entered in search of mine, I never wanted it to leave.

Electricity flowed through us. How did I think I could ever stay away from him? I couldn’t. And as our two tongues danced and his other hand found my ass, the moment was shattered by my best friend reacting to seeing me kiss his brother for the first time.

“Should we leave?” Hil asked sincerely.

Nipping my lip as he pulled away, our two foreheads touched as we again found reality. Staring into each other’s eyes, we giggled.

“Again, should we leave?”

“No, don’t,” Remy said straightening up. “I’m going to need your help as well.” He turned from Hil to Cali. Yours too,” He said vulnerably.

Cali stared at him.

“I still think you’re an asshole,” Cali concluded.

Remy chuckled. “It’s my best quality,” he joked.

“But, you helped me get Hil back,” Cali conceded, his eyes softening. “So, I’ll help you with this.”

“We both will,” Hil agreed. “It’s time for the rest of us in this family to step up as well. It’s not all up to you. We’re in this together.”

Relief washed over Remy. “Thank you. You don’t know what this means to me. So, any bright ideas?”

I mulled it over, my mind racing with possibilities. “Do you think Armand has anything that could bring him down?”

“Don’t we all?” Remy said with a smirk. Scanning our blank faces, he added, “Wrong crowd. Yes, there’s a high chance Armand has something that could bring him down. What it could be and where we could find it, I have no clue.”

“Don’t all of you mob bosses follow the same playbook,” Cali taunted.

“Sure, but I returned my copy of it to the library. If it wasn’t for those darn late fees…,” Remy replied sarcastically.

“Like I said, asshole,” Cali concluded.

“And like I said, best quality,” Remy teased returning to the man I loved.

“Seriously, do you think he has something we could use against him?” I repeated slowly forming an idea.

“Again, yes. But it’s not like I shadow the man. It could be anything and anywhere. I wouldn’t know where to begin.”

“What if there’s someone who would know?” I asked.

“Eris? There’s no way she’s gonna help me bring down her father. She’s pretty pissed at me right now.”

“What happened?” I asked unable to help myself.

“Let’s just say that I left her at an inopportune time.”

“Why?”

“Because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, you want it to start immediately,” Remy said gripping my soul.

“Cali, why don’t you ever say things like that to me?” Hil asked his boyfriend.

Cali moaned and looked at Remy. “Asshole.”

“Brother fucker,” he said without missing a beat.
