Grady glanced up from his laptop as he sat at the kitchen island. Steele walked in, carrying a baby monitor. “You finally got her down?”
“Little brat was determined that she didn’t have to nap this afternoon. Thinks she’s fully rested and fine. Doesn’t mean she doesn’t need rest.”
Grady nodded, feeling nervous. This was the first time they’d been on their own since he’d told Steele he loved him last night.
He could still feel the other man’s mouth against his. The kiss he’d never thought that he would get.

But now he couldn’t help but worry that Damon would regret it.
Steele walked to him and closed the lid of his laptop.
“Hey! What do you think you’re doing?” Grady snapped. “I was working.”
“It’s Sunday,” Steele replied.
“So?”
“We don’t work on Sundays.”
“We’ve always worked every day,” Grady replied.
“Not anymore. Not now that we have Effie to spend time with. She needs time with us and we need time with her.”
He made a good point.
