Which brought her back to the party tonight.

Dante was slipping on his t-shirt and Sage enjoyed the view of his broad back and tattoos. She never got tired of watching her man. So proud, so strong, so protective.

He was standing in front of a floor-length mirror, and when he caught her gaze, he winked.

They’d put that mirror to good use and enjoyed watching each other when they fucked.

Ever since Dante admitted his feelings, there was a new intensity to their lovemaking. Sage worried at first that Dante would get bored, but so far, he was anything but. In fact, she had a difficult time getting him to stop touching her. In private and in public, the man was possessive as hell. And not just when it came to sex. He was affectionate in a way that he wasn’t with anyone else.

And Sage was happier than she’d ever been. Not just happy, but authentically herself.

They had nothing to hide from each other. Good and bad, they’d seen it all and would ride it out, together.

“I’m ready.” Dante turned around and pulled her into his arms.

“Don’t start that again or we’re never leaving this bedroom,” she cautioned as their hips collided.

“Would that be a bad thing?” he asked as he kissed her neck and rocked his hips. “I need all the sex I can get. It’s good for my leg.”

“Your leg’s been healed for a long time now. Nice try.”

“It’s still the truth. Sex is good for your health.”

Sage smiled and shook her head. “You know what else is good? Socializing with your friends.”

Dante rolled his eyes and Sage reluctantly stepped back.

“Let’s get this over with,” he grumbled.

“What happened to Dante, the party animal?”

“Now I only want to party with you.”

Sage smiled. “That’s sweet, but we’re late. Stop stalling.”

“Don’t call me sweet,” he growled. “You know that drives me crazy.”

“Sorry, honey. Move your smoking hot ass,” she quipped. “Is that better?”

“I’ll give you better.”

They showed up to the barn an hour late but happy as hell.
