Nora bobbed her head. “Dead serious. He grumbled about them up on the very start of our honeymoon, but he never said a thing to me.”

Rae pointed her finger, narrowing her eyes. “I knew they were together. I told you I had a feeling.”

Letting out a sigh, I dusted my hands and started getting up. I was done digging in the dirt for the day.

“I wanted to tell you guys so bad.”

“When did it start?” Rae asked, mirroring my movements, dusting the dirt from her palms. Nora joined us too.

“Uh, you know that first self-defense class I took…we sort of had a moment while the gym was closed.”

“A moment?” they asked in unison.

I blushed, making my way inside.

“Well, he pinned our bodies together in one of his lessons, and well, one of his body parts wasn’t being professional, and my lady parts really liked that he wasn’t being professional.”

Nora and Rae broke into laughter as we each stepped inside the house and walked to the kitchen sink. Colson was gone somewhere, thankfully, so he wouldn’t hear me talking about Liam’s body or mine.

“Oh my gosh, poor, grumpy Liam—falling for his best friend’s little sister,” Nora mused, scrubbing her skin with a nail brush.

Rae seemed to realize something because she grabbed my shoulders and gasped.

“Holy shit. Isn’t there like ten years between you guys?”

Nora turned, sopping wet hands, dripping all over the floor, her eyes laser focused on me.

“Twelve actually,” I said meekly.

Nora clapped her hands together and water went everywhere. “Shit, that’s right, I totally forgot about the age gap!”

Rae let me go and couldn’t stop smiling.

“I love it. Oh my gosh, Colson must have died when he found out.”

Rae pushed Nora’s shoulder jokingly. “How did you not know?”

Nora finally dried her hands and then reached into the cupboard for three glasses.

“That man is so hard to read sometimes, and we’ve been so busy with wedding stuff, and —just being real, sorry Haley—but we fuck like rabbits then we’re so exhausted all we talk about is food.”

Ew. I closed my eyes and plugged my ears. “I don’t want to hear this.”

Rae pulled my hands down, laughing while she did it. “Okay, Nora won’t talk anymore about being a rabbit. I want to know how serious things are with Daddy Liam.”

Nora began pouring our glasses full of the sangria she had made earlier.

“Daddy Liam sounds deliciously wrong but oh so right.”

I was blushing so intensely, my face felt like it was on fire.

“Oh my God, you guys stahhhhp!” I held my face, trying to cool it down.

They laughed, now sipping their drinks while we stood around the kitchen.

“For the record, things are serious. I mean, I live with him,” I said, looking at Nora.

She pointed her glass at me. “See, I knew it. Colson said you were staying in the guest room, but I knew you were sneaking into Liam’s room at night, getting dicked.”
